Chapter 64

them

Pandora blew out a breath as she flipped through the shows. She was on the third week of her maternity leave and she was so bored

she wanted to cry. The first two weeks weren’t so bad, mainly because she spent the time getting her boysnursery ready for

It was fully decorated, with new carpet, paint, and wall hangings. Their cribs had been put together and made up with bedding, all ready for them to come home to. But after that, she had nothing left to do

She was not planning on buying any clothes for them for another few weeks. Keira and Sia told her to hold off, buying anything else until after her baby shower, which was next weekend. She knew that he was mainly bored as aside from her appointment with Benjamin, she hadn’t left her house

Subsequently, she gained a bit of weight. But on the upside, no more strange things had happened since her car broke down three weeks ago. She couldn’t believe it when the mechanic said there was water and a multitude of other odd substances in her gas tank

Driving it had destroyed her entire injection system. Along with the injection system, they found other issues such as foreign substances in her oil and transmission. The insurance company totaled the car, and she was lucky that they paid her its value minus the fivehundreddollar deductible

At first, she was upset, and it took Benjamin more than an hour to calm her down. He gently reminded her it was just a car, and the main thing was that the boys and she were okay. She knew he was right. His sister had broken her back in the car accident that she was in. Thankfully, she was on the mend and should make a full recovery

Benjamin and she had only seen each other at her appointments once a week. But they were exploring the true depth of their feelings. Pandora felt like she was growing closer to him. Her attraction to him seemed to be deepening so much that when she

dreamed of Nemo, Benjamin slowly took his place

She was finding that there was a part of her that wished she had spent the night with Benjamin instead of Nemo

Thousands of shows to choose from, and still not a freaking thing I want to watch!she moaned as she started to go back through

them again. There must be something to watch

A knock at her door made her frown, and she slowly got up and waddled over to it. She looked through the peephole as the couple knocked again

Hello, she said, keeping the chain on

We’re here to see the house?the woman said, unsure of herself

You have the wrong address, she told them and they looked at each other and then back to Pandora. The woman looked at a piece of paper and then showed it to her. Right there, in black and white, was her address written on it

Can we speak to the owner?”

I am the owner, she replied, sounding short with her

Sorry, we must have written down the wrong address.”

She nodded. Damn right, you have the wrong house!she thought to herself as she gave them a smile and nodded before she closed

the door on them

She moved to the window and watched them as they looked back at Her house from inside their car. They drove off and she let out a breath of frustration. She turned back to see Sia pulling up

She got out of her car, and as she opened the door, Sia walked up to her. Hey girl, I came to check to see how things are going?”

Chapter 64

Pandora rolled her eyes as she waddled back to her couch

No sitting; get dressed, I’m taking you out to eat.”

She groaned but Sia just pointed toward the stairs. Pandora huffed and muttered as she stomped up each step

Any more of that and you’ll not be allowed to have ice cream!Sia yelled up at her and she giggled. She begrudgingly got dressed, and she took Sia out to a restaurant. She started to act cagey as she looked around the place

Before Pandora could ask if she was casing the joint, her mouth dropped open and she opened her menu, ducking her head

Sia?she asked, knowing something was up with her behavior. When she just hummed, Pandora leaned over and took the menu from her. Sia,she hissed again, but Sia put on a smile, looking behind her

Sia,a somewhat familiar male voice called. She turned to see a man smiling at her

Hey, Royce,Sia said and her mind drifted back to when she was in Vegas

You were the bartender,Pandora blurted out as the image of him serving her drinks came to her

Yeah, I was, Royce said, looking down at her

He was at the bar that night,Pandora claimed as she turned to Sia and rubbed her bump. Her eyes flashed with pain and she

frowned

Oh, wait, yeah, alphabet shot chick,Royce said with a chortle. Your hair is really different though, wasn’t it some other color?”

Pandora turned and grinned at him because he remembered her

Nemo?Sia whispered out to her. She turned back to Sia, trying to work out why she sounded so hurt

That’s right! How did things go with you and Nemo?Royce asked, but she ignored him as she looked at Sia trying to work out what was going on. Hey, did he hurt you? I did ask you if you were okay to go with him before you got into the cab.”

You’re not Nemo?Sia asked, sounding relieved by it

No,Royce and Pandora said together

Did he hurt you?Royce repeated, and she shook her head at him. Thank God, you two had me worried there,he said, sitting

down

She swallowed and looked at him. Do you know Nemo?she asked and he shook his head
