Four years ago, Nathan shouldve met Carla. Besides, when he went to Stella’s house, he saw her too, didn’t he?
“Four years ago, you should have met Carlà, And when you came to my house, you saw her too, right?” Stella commented after Carla
had left.
Nathan raised his head and gave her an indifferent look.
“An irrelevant person. Why should I remember?‘
Stella was speechless at the cold response. That was Nathan. Someone who didn’t care about the people or events around him. None of that seemed to occupy a space in his heart.
She lowered her head in resignation when she noticed a piece of meat on her plate. She looked at Nathan, who was casually continuing his meal.
“Haven’t you noticed that you’ve been getting thinner lately? Eat some more. “He said, putting another piece in his bowl.
Stella frowned.
“I’m not getting any thinner. “She weighed herself regularly and knew that her weight remained the same.
Nathan raised an eyebrow.
“I said you’re thinner, so you are. I could measure that.”
At first, Stella didn’t understand what he meant by “measure“, but soon noticed his gaze directed at her chest. Her face flushed
instantly.
If Liam hadn’t been there, she would have thrown the bowl at his head.
“On your own. “He muttered as he brought the piece of meat to his mouth.
“Mom, what did you say?” Liam looked at her, curious.
“Nothing. Eat your dinner properly so we can go swimming afterwards. “Stella smiled, trying to cover it up.
Nathan calmly put down his cutlery, watching Stella with a charming smile.
At a nearby table, Carla was eyeing them. Her eyes were fixed on Nathan’s smile, on the way he looked at Stella with affection.
She was astonished.
All these years, she had always thought that Stella was suffering from marrying into the Collins family. After all, on the night of the wedding, Nathan had left her and never returned. Rumor had it that their relationship was full of conflicts. Besides, didn’t Nathan have another woman, Olivia?
But then, why did he now seem so close to Stella?
Carla reflected. What mistake had she made?
When the Cassano family had experienced difficulties, Jorge had wanted to establish a connection with someone of higher status in order to solve the problems. At the time, Carla was dating and didn’t want to sacrifice herself to save the family. Fortunately, Jorge liked her and didn’t force himself on her. He offered Stella instead.

Stella married Nathan and became the wife of the Collins heir. For Carla, it seemed like a stroke of luck: “Stella had been chosen,
not her.
Over tline, however, Carla’s relationship with her boyfriend cooled. He came from an ordinary family and, when the passion subsided, arguments became frequent. She realized that if she married him, her life would be completely different from what she had imagined. So they broke up.
Recently, Jorge had been trying to find a suitable husband for her. But who in town could be more qualified than Nathan?
And then a thought struck her. The best already belonged to Stella.
A frustration grew inside her, nagging and persistent.
“Mom, auntie keeps looking at us. “Liam commented, curious. “Does Auntie have a problem? “He asked, frowning.
Stella smiled and looked at her watch.
“If she did, she’d come and talk to us. ” she said with an amused tone. “Now, finish eating so we can go swingming.”
Nathan looked at her and Liam.
“Are you satisfied?”
“Yes.” Liam nodded.
Nathan stood up.
“I’ll pay the bill. You take Liam and we’ll meet later.”
The swimming pool on the top floor of the hotel was a luxury in itself. With ample space and a breathtaking view from the fiftieth floor, guests could swim while enjoying the illuminated cityscape.
Stella was in the changing room helping Liam change. The little one was wearing black swimming trunks and putting on his goggles.
“Put your cap on too, darling. “Stella asked, adjusting his goggles.
Liam grimaced.
“Mom, I don’t want to wear those. It makes me look ugly.”
Nathan, who had just changed, picked Liam up.
“If he doesn’t want to wear them, he doesn’t have to. I’m right here. What are you afraid of?”
Stella hesitated, but gave in.
“All right, but he needs to wear the buoy.” She handed the accessory to Nathan, who held it tightly.
His eyes then landed on Stella. Unlike the other guests, she was still wearing white shorts and a black blouse.
“Why haven’t you changed yet?” he asked, frowning.
She hesitated. The pool landscape was fascinating, but in the end, the water made her uncomfortable,

But if she wanted to enjoy the view, she had to go in.
“All right.” She said, picking up her swimsuit and heading for the fitting room.
Nathan had already taken Liam to the pool. He was teaching him how to swim, this little boy had his own buoy, and he was learning how to kick in the water.,
Nathan was also in a very serious mood, he hardly noticed her coming, he just concentrated on teaching Liam.
It really was a warm scene between father and son. Stella realized that she was really enjoying the feeling they had. She went back to the changing room, grabbed her phone from the locker. She stood by the pool and took several photos of them.
Liam noticed her and waved to her.
“Mom, come here quickly.”
“Okay, I’m coming.” Stella replied, and went back to the changing room to put her cell phone back. She came to his side, she was still standing on the side, and with great effort she slowly put her foot in. She still wasn’t willing to jump in,
“You carry on what you’re doing. I’m going to stay here for a while first.”
The sky began to darken, the lights around the pool began to come on and the people inside the pool began to leave.
There were lots of small children there, they were the same age as Liam, they also had a swimming buoy on their body. Perhaps children of that age have always been particularly interested in swimming and taken it seriously.
