Chapter 93
“Well, yeah, I’ve got two of thes cutie pies now and there’s only one of you,‘ she replied without looking at him. “How was last night? Lana asked putting the Dottle of milk she brought with them in the fridge.
“It went well,” Pandora told her but she shook her head chuckling gently.
“The first night–week–1 had Benjamin home, I just about slept in his bed with him. I would have if Peter allowed me to.
“Yeah, I seem to have fallen into the trap of needing to check if he’s breathing,” she confessed. She knew full well she had freaked out a few times because Jack’s breathing movements were so slight that she often missed them.
“It does get easier, but I still worry about my kids. I even held my finger under Maisey’s nose after her accident, just to make sure she was still breathing.” Lana kept her words soft, so there was a chuckle to her tone, but Pandora knew full well she did in fact do
- it.
In an odd way, it made her feel better than and not as paranoid as she was feeling before.
“You two go and see Micheal, and Jack and I will meet you for lunch she said with a smile.
Pandora nodded at her and Benjamin moved her to the door. She stopped and turned back to her. “Thank you,” she whispered.
“Your mother is amazing,” Pandora told Benjamin as they walked to see Micheal in the NICU.
“Yeah I know, and think I am realizing just how amazing and lucky I am to have her.”
Her body seemed to move closer to Benjamin. He had been waiting for her, and welcomed her beside him, as close as possible. Benjamin shook his head but kissed the top of her. It was as if he, too, was slightly shocked that their bodies gravitated to one another without a spoken word passing between them.
Exactly five days after Jack came home, they took Micheal home. While Pandora was sad to say goodbye to nurses like Claire, she was excited to get her two boys home together and settled. No more going back and forth between the two of them.
“We’re home,” Benjamin announced, walking her in.
They walked into the living room, and sitting there were Benjamin’s family, her family, and their friends with a large banner saying “Welcome home, Parks.” The sight of them all, happy and seemingly like one big family made Pandora start to cry.
“Oh, I told you this would overwhelm her,” Lana told them as she hugged her.
“No, this is just unexpected.” Benjamin sat her down as Nina and Lana took the boys.
“Well, since you are already crying, we have gifts; it’s best to get them opened so this crying thing can stop, Ron joked, waving his
hand.
“Don’t be an ass, Ron!” Keira shushed him as she passed a gift to her and another one to Benjamin.
She turned to look at Benjamin. He grinned, leaning over and kissing her before turning to open the gift. She watched him for a few minutes as he spoke to Milton, Ron, and her dad. She loved how he got along with them.
There was no macho man act, or ‘I’m better than you‘ attitude. He was not trying to upset them or piss someone off. Benjamin was just himself and he was perfect. She relaxed, knowing that was who Benjamin was, and nothing about his behavior was forced.

Chapter 93
“Come on, Pandora, open the gifts, Maisey cheered. She looked at her and saw that Maisey now had Micheal in her arms. I want to know what you think.”
Pandora nodded and started to pen the gifts. For the first time since becoming a mother, she felt as if she could do it.
Pandora was awoken by Micheal’s small cries. She yawned as she kicked her leg out of the bed.
“Hang on little guy. Momma’s coming,” she whispered as she walked to him. She lifted him and kissed his head. “I need to change your bottom first before I feed you.”
She put him down on the changing table and started to change him, but he started to cry harder as his hand went in his mouth.
“Hey, no eating your hand,” she said, feeling guilty when she saw the tears in his eyes. “Just two minutes baby,” she mumbled to him, hoping that she could reassure him his meal was coming soon.
She sat down on the chair and placed the pillow on her lap. She helped Micheal get comfortable and then attached him to her breast. He just started nursing‘ when Jack woke up crying.
“Hey, baby, just give Mommy a few minutes,” she cooed at Jack.
‘Shit, how I can feed them both?
“Jacky, Micheal has only been eating for a few minutes, you need to wait,” she sighed.
-Benjamin walked in looking sleepy and went straight to Jack. Pandora watched as he picked him up and started to change him.
“Love, do you want to try them one on each breast or should I just bottle–feed Jack?” Benjamin asked.
Thinking it over quickly, she knew it would take five minutes to warm a bottle and Jack was already impatient. “I’ll try double feeding,” she replied, though she was unsure she could manage to do it.
“Okay,” Benjamin walked around with Jack getting another pillow, he laid it on her other knee and helped place Jack in position. She grinned as he helped Jack get attached.
“Thank you,” she said with a smile.
“No problem,” he yawned. “Next time, please wake me up; I would like to be a part of this, too, even if I am home just after a shift.
She tilted her head at him, not liking the idea of him working hard and only getting a few hours of sleep because he wanted her to get him up to help. Benjamin picked up on her inner fight because he cupped her face.
