Freya put down her phone, had breakfast, and then left for the Wilson Group office. There was a big meeting in the morning. Matteo would also be attending.
After arriving at the meeting room, Freya sat down with the others and waited for more than ten minutes before Matteo appeared.
As soon as he entered, Sherry gasped in admiration, her eyes shining as she couldn’t take her eyes off of Matteo.
It wasn’t until a while later, when the meeting officially began, that she snapped out of it. She tugged at Freya’s sleeve and whispered, “President is really handsome!”
Freya had only glanced up when Matteo entered. Upon hearing Sherry, she didn’t even lift her head, giving a perfunctory “Mm.”
Seeing that Freya seemed completely uninterested in Matteo, Sherry was a little surprised.
But then she remembered that Freya was already married, with a child who wasn’t that young anymore, so she figured it was normal.
During the meeting, Sherry’s heart was racing as she couldn’t stop staring at Matteo. She didn’t pay attention to what was being discussed at the meeting at all.
Freya, on the other hand, was focused on taking notes on her computer.
After the meeting, Matteo left first, and the others followed.
Sherry continued to daydream for a while, but it wasn’t until Jake came over to collect the materials that Freya had just recorded that she snapped out of her thoughts.
Jake flipped through the records and couldn’t help but comment, “Not bad, good work.”
Freya replied, “It’s nothing.”
Jake left, and Sherry suddenly realized that she hadn’t been paying attention during the meeting. She quickly asked Freya to send her the materials.
But after a moment, a headache began to set in.

“Freya, did you study architecture before?” Sherry asked.
Freya replied, “No.”
“Then why do you know so many industry–specific terms?”
“I learned them by finding books on my own, but it’s just the basics.”
The Wilson Group had a variety of investment projects, and in order to do her job well, she had spent a lot of time over the years learning about different industries.
“Ah? So you’ve also read books related to the medical industry?”
“Mm.”
Sherry was stunned into silence.
After spending two days with Freya, Sherry realized that Freya wasn’t just some young woman who had become the team leader of their secretarial group by chance. She truly had real ability.
“What books did you read? Could you send me a reading list? I’d like to take a look myself when I have time.”
“Sure, I’ll send it to you later.”
At noon, Freya sifted through her collection of books and sent Sherry a list of books that would be useful for her in the future and were easy to get into.
Sherry stared at the long list of books, which included around forty or fifty titles, and was a little confused.
At 3 PM, Matteo had a client meeting. Jake asked Freya to make several cups of coffee because he would take them over in a little while.
Sherry had no idea that it was Freya who made Matteo’s coffee.
However, after Freya finished making the coffee, Jake stopped her from delivering it herself and went to do it personally.
Sherry thought it was because Matteo wanted to avoid people getting too close by using the coffee as
an excuse.

She asked tentatively, “Freya, have you never personally delivered coffee to President Matteo?”
“Not really, sometimes when Jake or the others are busy, they ask me to deliver it.”
Sherry liked coffee, but she never intended to learn how to make it herself.
Hearing Freya say this, her eyes lit up. “Freya, how do you make coffee to suit President Matteo’s
taste? Can you teach me?“”
Even though the opportunity might not come often, she still wanted to seize it.
Freya could see through Sherry’s intentions.
She replied, “Sure.”
She had already given up on Matteo, so why would she keep the coffee–making skills that he liked to
herself?
At this moment, Jake arrived at the tea room and froze when he heard the conversation.
He and Chad had always believed that Freya couldn’t possibly let go of the company.
They were sure she would find a way to stay.
When Sherry came to the company to take over Freya’s job, they thought Freya would do something.
After all, Sherry was beautiful and stunning.
How could Freya possibly let such a woman stay by Matteo’s side?
But over the past two days, not only had Freya accepted Sherry, but they had also gotten along well.
Now, Freya was even teaching Sherry how to make coffee?

Jake couldn’t understand, and neither did Freya.
She simply completed her work diligently, turned down Sherry’s invitation for dinner, and planned to go home for a meal before continuing her research on AI–related topics.

“Mom, are you done with work?”
Freya got into the car and asked, “What’s up?“.
“I want to eat crab cake and sushi. Can you come home and make it for me?”
Freya paused.
She hadn’t officially divorced Matteo yet, and he hadn’t called asking her to move out.
If she went back to cook for her daughter, she believed Matteo wouldn’t mind.
But –
She was feeling a bit tired, and she still had her own plans.
Isabella was her responsibility, but she also had her own life now. She wouldn’t sacrifice her time for them unconditionally anymore.
She replied, “Mom has something to do today. Maybe next time.”
In the past, Freya had always prioritized Matteo and Isabella in her plans.
She almost never said no to them.
But today, she had refused them twice.
Though Isabella didn’t notice this and just assumed Freya was truly busy, it was rare for her to be
turned down like this.
She felt a bit wronged. “Mom, why have you been so busy lately? I don’t care, I want crab cake and
sushi!”
