Freya froze.
Johnny paused as well. He glanced at Freya, then whispered, “Teacher… Why would Mr. Wilson want to meet with you? Can you tell us?”
“He said he wanted to introduce someone to me,” Nolan replied.
With that, he ended the call without saying more.
Johnny turned to Freya and said, “Could it be that the person Mr. Wilson wants to introduce to Teacher is Raven?”
It was during their recent dealings with the Brown family that Johnny found out that the Brown family also had its own tech company.
Raven had previously wanted to work at their company to be involved with their programming language, cuap.
The outside world believed that cuap was developed by Nolan’s team, even though the truth was more complicated.
Now that Raven couldn’t join their company, it was very likely that she would reach out to Nolan to study cuap. It was even possible that Raven might want to become one of Nolan’s students.
Thinking of this, Johnny couldn’t help but curse under his breath. “Damn!”
Freya had the same thought.
She suspected that this might be Matteo’s way of compensating her for not allowing Raven’s family to move into the
house across from her uncle.
After all, given Matteo’s feelings for Raven, how could he allow her to suffer in order to help Freya?
Johnny said, “If she really has hidden talents, doesn’t that mean-”
Although they were students of Nolan, and although he was usually indifferent to them, their relationship with him
was actually quite good.
Nolan was strict with them, but in fact, he was a cold person with a warm heart. He also had strong principles.
If Raven’s abilities and talents were truly impressive, Nolan wouldn’t refuse to take her on just because of the history between her and Freya.
So…
Freya quickly composed herself and said, “Let’s focus on our own work for now.”

The only thing she could do was focus on improving herself.
That evening, she returned home later than usual, and Grandma was already asleep. However, when she got home, Matteo hadn’t yet returned.
He might not return at all.
But when she came out of the bathroom after a shower, she found that Matteo had actually come back.
Seeing him, her steps faltered for a moment, and she nodded at him slightly as a greeting.
As for why he had met with Nolan today, she didn’t ask a word.
Matteo didn’t speak either. After giving her a glance, he headed to the bathroom for a shower.
The next morning, Freya woke up a bit late.
When she went downstairs, she heard Grandma’s sarcastic voice directed at Matteo: “Last night, I was already in bed by ten, and you still weren’t home. I thought you wouldn’t come back!”
Matteo, sitting across from Grandma, calmly drank his water without replying.
Grandma knocked on the table, pretending to be angry. “Say something! Stop pretending to be mute!”
Matteo put down his cup and, seeing Freya coming downstairs, glanced at her before turning back to Grandma and saying, “Didn’t you say I had to come back and accompany you this morning?”
“Hmph, I thought you’d ignore me again!”
“I wouldn’t dare.”
Though he said this, his tone was indifferent, showing no sign of discomfort or guilt.
Grandma was so annoyed she stopped talking to him and waved at Freya, signaling her to come and sit.
Freya sat down and asked, “Grandma, are you going out to play later?”
“It’s not ‘you all,‘ it’s ‘we!” Grandma smiled. “We’ll go together. Mag, where would you like to go? Grandma will follow your lead.”
Freya sometimes felt like a very boring person. She couldn’t think of any entertaining places that everyone would
enjoy.
She said, “I’m fine with anything. It’s up to you.”
Grandma already had a plan in mind, and hearing Freya’s words, she asked,

Chapter 111
How about hot springs? Last time we were supposed to go but didn’t get a chance, and I ended up getting sick from
the frustration. This time, someone’s going to make it up to me.”
That “someone” naturally referred to Matteo.
Matteo remained calm, drinking his tea, and didn’t seem uncomfortable or embarrassed at all by Grandma bringing it up.
It was as if the incident didn’t matter to him at all.
He never seemed to have cared about it.
Freya realized this and averted her gaze.
She had already been to the hot springs before, and she didn’t feel any excitement about going again. But since Grandma had mentioned it, she simply went along with it. “Alright.”
After breakfast, Freya started packing for the trip to the hot spring resort.
But she only packed for herself, not for Matteo.
After all, though Matteo was her husband in name, he was not her actual husband. He was currently Raven’s man. She guessed he wouldn’t be happy if she touched his belongings.
And right now, she had no interest in touching his things anyway.
As for Isabella’s things, Aunt Sara helped with those.
If this were before, Freya might have worried that Aunt Sara hadn’t packed everything, and even though Aunt Sara helped, she would still have double–checked.
But now, after finishing packing her own things, she simply dragged her little suitcase downstairs without worrying about Isabella’s things.
After waiting downstairs for a while, both Isabella and Matteo came down.
When they arrived at the hot spring resort, Matteo seemed to have gone off to make a phone call.
While Freya was organizing her belongings in the room, Grandma came in and handed her a box, whispering, This
is the outfit I prepared for you. Remember to wear it when you go to the hot springs later.”
From Grandma’s expression, Freya quickly guessed what was inside the box.
