Even if she and Matteo hadn’t officially divorced, or even if they had, given the friendship between the two old ladies, she would still have to invite the Wilson family.
As for whether the Wilson family would come or not, that was their business.
Tonight, Freya had originally planned to return to her own place, but upon thinking about it, she turned the steering wheel around and headed back to Matteo’s villa.
When she arrived, she realized that neither Matteo nor Isabella had returned. Old Lady Wilson had left for the old residence a couple of days ago due to some matters.
Freya dropped her bag and went into the bathroom.
Half an hour later, just as she finished her shower and stepped out, she heard the sound of a car in the driveway. It seemed that Matteo and Isabella had returned.
Freya, without any emotion, thought about it as she sat down and began drying her hair.
When Isabella realized that Freya was home, she immediately ran upstairs and threw herself into her arms. “Mom,
we’re back!”
She smelled of the perfume Raven wore.
Freya remained calm, turning off the blow dryer and gently patting Isabella’s little face. “Have you taken a shower yet?”
Isabella shook her head. “Not yet.”
“It’s already past ten. Go back to your room and take a shower. You have school tomorrow.”
As soon as she finished speaking, Matteo entered the room. Their eyes met for a moment.
Freya gave him a brief glance, then coldly looked away. At that moment, Isabella tugged at her, saying, “Mom, can you help me take a shower?”
Freya responded, “Okay, let me dry my hair first.”
“Okay!”
Isabella happily ran back to her room to get her pajamas.
Matteo watched her leave and sat down on the other side, asking, “When did you get back?”

Chapter 121
“Not long ago.” Freya said without looking at him, continuing to dry her hair.
Matteo didn’t ask further. He stood up and went to the closet, preparing to shower.
Freya suddenly remembered something important. She turned off the blow dryer and, before he entered the bathroom, took one of the invitations out of her bag and handed it to him.
“Grandma’s birthday is coming up. This is the invitation for the Wilson family,”
When she got closer to him, she realized that his clothes still carried the distinct scent of Raven’s perfume.
Freya lightly pinched her nose but quickly let go and took a small step back, distancing herself from him.
Matteo didn’t seem to notice her actions. He casually opened the invitation and glanced at it. “Seventy years old?”
“Yes.” Freya nodded. She didn’t ask him if he would be free on that day, or beg him to spare some time to attend the birthday banquet as she had in the past. She simply said, “Please let my parents know.”
It was unclear if Matteo noticed that she didn’t ask him to attend this time. He looked at her, then casually put the invitation aside, replying, “Got it.”
With that, he turned and entered the bathroom.
Freya glanced at his back, put away the blow dryer, and went to Isabella’s room to help her with her shower.
After helping Isabella shower, dry her hair, and get ready for bed, it had already been almost an hour.
Isabella cuddled up in Freya’s arms and asked, “Can I sleep with you tonight?”
Given the current situation between her and Matteo, what was there to say?
Freya returned to the master bedroom, grabbed her things, and as she left, she told Matteo, “I’m going to sleep in Isabella’s room.”
Matteo was reading a book. He heard her and merely responded with a soft “Hmm” without asking further or trying to stop her.
The next day, after breakfast, Freya sent Isabella to school per her request and then went back to the company.
The old lady’s birthday was coming up, but for the past month, she had been busy with work and hadn’t had the chance to buy a gift.
At lunch, she called Jessica, asking her to go shopping with her in the evening to buy a gift.
When Jessica heard that she was buying a birthday gift for her grandmother, she immediately agreed.
Freya still hadn’t delivered the invitation to Maria Wilson.

Chapter 121
After hanging up with Jessica, she dialed Maria’s number.
The call connected, but no one answered.
Freya knew that Maria didn’t like her, or the entire Miller family for that matter. The fact that she didn’t answer the call this time seemed like a deliberate act.
However, considering the old lady’s birthday, Freya felt that she still had to go through the motions.
The call was ended, and Freya dialed again.
This time, the call was directly disconnected.
Freya understood that Maria was intentionally avoiding her.
She didn’t care, though. She was just going through the process.
She sent María a text explaining why she was calling, asking when she would be free to deliver the invitation.
After sending the message, Freya didn’t wait for a reply and continued with her work.
In the evening, after dinner with Jessica, they shopped for a long time but couldn’t find anything that satisfied Freya.
Suddenly, Jessica said, “There’s a charity auction in two nights. Why not check it out then?”
