Chapter 12
Hearing this, Kaleb glanced at her.
Last night, I was originally working overtime at the company.
It was Annalise who said she was feeling down after a breakup.
She told him, “If you’re a true friend, you should come and save me from this misery.” She insisted on letting him come out and accompany her for a drink.
He had those intimate behaviors with Annalise because she said she felt uncomfortable and wanted to commit suicide.
He was afraid that she might do something stupid, so he let her do as she pleased.
He didn’t expect to be seen by me and cause such a misunderstanding.
As for that wine kiss… Kaleb admitted that it was because he saw my mocking expression that he impulsively kissed Annalise.
After I left, he went to the washroom and rinsed his mouth for a long time, causing his mouth to be irritated and bleeding from the mouthwash.
“Call me if you have something.
I have said before, you are not allowed to come to my house without permission,” Kaleb reminded Annalise.
Before Kaleb got married, he specifically informed all his friends that without an invitation, no one was allowed to come to his house.
“I was curious.
What exactly do you have in this house? It’s like you’re hiding some secrets…” As Annalise spoke, she looked aggrieved.
This apartment was the marital home of Kaleb and me.
Kaleb clearly didn’t love me, yet he steadfastly guarded the territory of our “home,” not allowing anyone else to
trespass.
Annalise didn’t believe it, nor was she willing to accept it.
She tried to find something, even on the verge of messing with Kaleb.
Unfortunately, Kaleb was an extremely clever and sharp person, and Annalise could never fool him with her little
tricks.
She could only come up with excuses that he couldn’t ever say no to.
“You’ve seen it now.
Nothing special.” Kaleb’s cold gaze swept across her face.“Disappear before I get angry.
If this happens again, don’t blame me for turning hostile.”
