In the kitchen, when Roy saw Kaleb, he showed no signs of fear. Instead, he raised his eyebrows with a proud and arrogant expression, as if he thought he was invincible.
Kaleb walked in, closed the kitchen door behind him, and then locked it. When Roy saw this, his body stiffened
in his eyes. up for a moment. The smile on his face gradually disappeared, and a hint of panic welled Meanwhile, Kaleb calmly undid his cufflinks while walking towards Roy at a steady pace. His arms, with rolled–up sleeves, were strong and muscular, which was a result of long–term exercise. In front of Kaleb, Roy appeared thin and lean.
In Roy’s memory, Kaleb was the elder one and had always been gentle, refined, calm, and composed. He would never believe that Kaleb would resort to violence. But now, he spoke up with a hint of panic in his voice, “Kaleb, we’re all civilized people. If there’s something between us, we should talk it out, not resort to violence. You know, Grandpa has just passed away…”
Before he could finish speaking, Kaleb threw his iron–hard fist at him. With a bang, Roy was hit and fell to the side, crashing directly into the refrigerator. His hands landed on the large refrigerator, causing it to shake. He was in so much pain that his brows furrowed, and blood spilled from the corners of his mouth. He felt dizzy. But before he could react, Kaleb grabbed his collar and pulled him back, followed by another punch.
This time, Roy fell to the ground, spitting out saliva mixed with blood from his mouth. He gasped for breath, propping himself up on the floor, trying to get up. His eyes fixed on Kaleb as he gritted his teeth and roared, “If you dare, kill me. Otherwise, I will make Katrina mine no matter what.”
Kaleb’s face darkened even more. He squatted down on one knee and grabbed Roy’s collar, pulling him closer. His cold, intense gaze was filled with a murderous intent. “You dare to covet Katrina? Are you seeking death?” His voice was soft, but it sent shivers down Roy’s spine.
Roy laughed and sneered contemptuously, “You’re so hypocritical. You married such a beautiful and virtuous wife, yet you still haven’t touched her, and you even don’t let others touch her.”
