I was shocked.
He looked familiar, but at the same time, he didn’t.
“Have we met before?” I said turning my head to the side to clarify.
“I don’t know, have we?” he said giving me a smile. I took a step back. I could have sworn I knew that smile. It was familiar, but at the same time, I couldn’t place my hands on it.
“If you wouldn’t mind, I am instructed to keep you back in the caller?” I looked at him like he had grown another head. (2
“aren’t you just meant to drag me away? Regardless of my feelings?” I snorted a bit.
“hmph,” He said leading the way.
“Aren’t you scared I’d run away? You know I easily could do that” he didn’t answer me, he just kept walking, like I hadn’t said something to begin with.
I just continued walking. Deciding to save my breath, since I was most likely going back
to no food and water.
My mind quickly caught on to something strange. At the cell, it was like I didn’t need to eat. For some reason, I was always filled up. Like as if I had always eaten. It was hard to explain.
It was crazy, so I didn’t seem to think much about it. I was just luckily having some sort of constipation that period.
He opened the door of the cell. “Have a lovely stay” he said with that same calming smile.
I knew I had definitely seen him somewhere before, I just couldn’t place a hand on where
and it was killing me.

I sighed, bored out of my mind. I had learned my lesson from the first stay here. Screaming and shouting didn’t do anything. It just irritated the other cell mates and you

just end up losing your voice or wearing yourself out.
I looked at the window, seeing as the moon was full. I heard from distant wolves howlin with joy. I was barely holding in the tears as I tried to keep the memories at bay.
flashback back when Kaden turned 14
“Hey stop it” I giggled, playfully pushing him away as he used his snout to push me forward. “ajax” I screamed in horror as he threw me on his back. Somehow, I started laughing. I felt like I weighed nothing as he carried me so weightlessly.
We ran through the woods, me on his back as he passed by the trees in a breeze. He dumped me in the cold pond, joining me and shifting back to his human form.
“get away from me” I fought to drown him as I made my way out of his arms. “You’re naked.”
“guess you start getting used to it then,” he said nibbling my ear. I laughed, allowing him to pull us both into the water and bring us back to the surface for air.
“You’re beautiful,” he said pulling some of the wet hair out of my face. “I would be so los without you” his eyes were sincere.
“oh really” I teased him a bit. I was still not comfortable talking about these things with him since we just started dating.
“you know every day, I pray to the moon goddess that you’d be mine.” I felt my heart flutter at those words. “I would mate you, and then your wolf” he sighed looking like he was at this point in another world. “I can’t wait for when we would fully mate and then your wolf would be out, you’d be with me as we run the pack lands”
“Kaden-”
“I mean it, Lucia” the way he called my name like it was the most important thing in the world, the most treasured. I said nothing more as I melted into his embrace. He was perfect, my perfect.
We stayed in each other’s embrace until I started to get cold. “want to go in?” I nodded.
Just as we stepped out of the pond, the moon finally revealed its full beauty.

“I want to show you something” he looked excited to show whatever it was to me. “I just perfected my howl, this one’s for you”
He looked towards the moon, howling, it sounded happy. He finished looking at me. “so, how did it sound? You’re the first one hearing it after I’ve perfected it.” I smiled. Months ago. He had said that he wanted the person he idolized and loved to hear it first. I thought it was going to be his dad or mum. Not me.
“Kaden, it’s.. it’s perfect.” The way he looked at me told me that he was just happy hearing that.
“Thank you,” he said hugging me before shifting back into his wolf and taking us back to the pack where the rest had been making a barbecue after their run.
“I got you this,” he said shoving a plate into my hand. “I knew you were too shy to take what you really needed” I blushed at the ribs that rested on the plate.
“thank you,” I said a little bit shy.
“No worries, if I don’t take care of my love, who would?” I was blushing.
“I mean it Lucia, I would always, be there for you, even for the littlest things, that’s how much I love you” I took in a deep breath, trying to steady my heart that was going a mile
per minute.
I wiped each and every tear that fell, cursing myself for remembering that stupid memory.
I didn’t love him, not anymore. I had to tell myself that over and over for it to actually
sink.
“I hate this.”
As If the universe had not shown me enough wickedness for a day, the door swung open, causing me to jump back. In came a very crazed looking Kaden.
I moved back a bit in an attempt to protect myself he came closer and closer to me.
“You are not going anywhere, you hear me?”

I looked at him confused but very scared. “what do you mean?”
“I don’t care if you find a way to erase this mark, I would do it over and over again if I
have to.
I could hear the deep voice and see the change in eye color. It wasn’t him, it was Ajax.
“I think you need to calm down” I was terrified. I had backed into the wall, there was nowhere else for me to run to, and the door was firmly shut behind him. Right now, I was dealing with a crazed wolf.
“There is no way, you will leave me, why… why would you decide to leave me? Don’t you
love me!” I felt my soul leave my body for a brief moment as he banged his fist into the wall beside me, creating a hole in the wall.
“A.. ajax, let’s discuss this, please” Among the two, Ajax was the one more in tune with his emotions. Maybe it was because he was the animalistic side, but that is how it always
was.
He moved closer to me, I could see the red tint in his eyes. He was turning feral.

that doesn’t make sense with timeline of the story. if he is 14, and it’s said that they dated 3 years it would be 17, and it was also said that he’s turning 18 when he will have the alpha title.
