Giana’s eyes were filled with concern. She put down her bowl and said earnestly, “Katrina, why don’t you take a break for a couple of days? You are human, not an iron machine. I put down the bag of food in my hand and walked over to the chair in front of the lab bench. I sat down and said, “I’m really fine.”
Giana followed me to the laboratory and pulled a chair to sit beside me.“Are you sure?”
“I’ve already told him that I want a divorce,” I said with a bitter heart, but pretended to be calm, explaining. “I will never again be sad and distressed because of his affairs with those rotten peaches.”
Giana was shocked and lowered her head, asking in a soft voice, “Is there any evidence this time? Did Kaleb really cheat?”
I manipulated the experimental equipment and shook my head.
Giana smiled indifferently and said, “You had no evidence, and he didn’t cheat. You will still forgive him as you always have, and forget about this matter as soon as you turn away.”
My heart was pounding; my eyes filled with tears as I looked at Giana with determination. “Giana, I’ve really come to my senses this time. Even if he didn’t cheat on me, I don’t want to continue living like this. Every time I find out about his nonsense, it always affects my mood. The things Leyla told me really hurt me to the point of wanting to die. I must be crazy to endure this kind of abuse for so long. And that Annalise by his side, she’s clearly a woman, but she’s always hanging out with him under the guise of being good buddies.
