Unconsciously, I fell asleep. The night was deep and quiet. Although I was tired, I’m a light sleeper and easily awakened. I felt something gently brush against the corner of my eye. I was startled and opened my eyes. Kaleb sat in front of the low coffee table, wearing a simple white shirt and pants. He leaned towards me, his elbows resting on his thighs. It seemed as if a tear rolled down my cheek; his eyes were as dark as ink, staring at the tear on his fingertip. He curled the corner of his mouth and gently rubbed his fingers together.
I got up
from the sofa, frantically tidied my long hair, and touched my soaking wet cheeks. After seeing him, the sour feeling in my heart became even stronger.
Kaleb said with a slightly mocking tone, “Crying while asleep, what could possibly make you so sad and Katrina?”

I closed my eyes and tried my best to suppress the bitterness in my heart, but I still couldn’t hold back the feeling of being wronged. I raised my gaze and looked at him with watery, moistened, and reddened eyes. “In the morning, I called you; Leyla answered.”
Kaleb calmly took out his phone, opened the call log, and looked through it for a while. “No records; they have beer deleted.”
“I didn’t need to look at the hot search topics, nor did I need to read any gossip news,” I said, feigning calmness, my heart was bleeding, causing my voice to tremble softly with pain.“You have so many scandals; I don’t have time to search through each and every one of them.”
