Chapter 170
Kaleb’s eyes darkened suddenly, and he remained silent. After you married Katrina, you always slept in separate rooms. You didn’t love her; you just saw her as a substitute for me.*
Kaleb asked sternly, “Who told you all of this?”
Leyla hesitated; she had promised Annalise not to betray her. If she made a wrong move, placed a wrong bet, Annalise would be her last resort.
“I was self–righteous.”
Kaleb listened to her words with a serious expression. He took out a file from the drawer and threw it in front of her, saying, “Open it and take a look.”
Leyla was confused and picked it up to open it. After reading the content, her face changed suddenly, shocked and puzzled. “You, a grown man, actually went to the forensic hospital for a physical examination and appraisal?”
“I have always pursued perfection in everything I do. If there is any risk, I take precautions against HIV, sexually transmitted diseases, and maintain hygiene and cleanliness. These are all necessary steps.”
Leyla was humiliated and completely battered. She angrily threw away his report and exclaimed, “Kaleb, are you sick?”
Kaleb got up and walked over to Leyla, leaning against the table with his hands in his pockets. He looked at her sideways and mockingly said, “I fell in love with you at first sight? You really overestimate yourself. At most, I would say
I say I felt a connection with you, and the only reason you became famous is because of your face and the benefits you bring to the company.”
Leyla’s face turned pale and then green with anger; her fists trembled as tears welled up in her eyes.
Kaleb reached out and handed her another document. Leyla caught it, opened it in an instant, and was struck by a thunderbolt. The blood in her body flowed backwards as she stared at him in disbelief, her pupils trembling slightly.“What do
you mean?”
