Jason glanced at the metal bucket emitting thick black smoke and thought I was sick.“You could just throw the trash away.”
I replied, “Burning it is cleaner.”
Jason frowned.
We stood silently in the yard, the last rays of light swallowed by the darkness.
On Friday morning, the 48 shop called; my car was repaired.
I picked up the car. When I was about to call Liam Chandler, I remembered the suit.
I had promised to clean it and send it back….
