Chapter 15: Hiding

Within days, Priscilla had the gym redone, Taz’s wardrobe updated and created a new social media presence. Whatever the hell that meant. The brothers were telling her that she had a lot of followers. Again, whatever the hell that meant. And her picture was almost always being taken.
She knew what that meant. It meant she was annoyed.
And the questions, Favorite color. Favorite food. Did she always want to be fighter? What got her into it? What did she want to be when she grew up?
How did she answer those questions? And answer them without giving away her secret. Her shame. The fact that she did not feel like a real woman. The anger she had literally fought through in the ring. The shame that kept her from telling even those that were closest to her. The secret that only Knuckles and Brute knew. The one thing that she was not sure if even Scrapper knew about her.
Taz knocked on Riffraff’s door on Thursday night. She stood there nervously waiting for the door to open. On this side, was a teenager who will take her picture, ask her questions and teach her how to post. On the other side, was a man who drove her crazy and made her consider giving up her chastity.
“Hey,” Riffraff said pulling her out of her thoughts.
“Can I hide?” Taz asked fervously.
Smiling, he opened the door wider and stepped out of her way. She tensed when she heard the door lock behind her. He walked · around her and sat on the bed, patting the spot next to him. Slowly she made her way over and sat on the far side of the bed.
“I’m not going to do anything that you don’t want me to.” Riffraff said as he picked up the remote. “Except, maybe, pick a movie that you don’t like,”
“I haven’t seen any movies in quite a while.” She admitted.
“You like the Avengers series?” He asked starting the movie again.
“I like Ironman. He’s hot.” She admitted.
Chuckling he put an arm around her shoulders. “My little sister is obsessed with Bucky. She has a thing for the bad boy type.”
“Growing up in the club does that.” Taz admitted as she snuggled in against his side,
A little later, they heard Priscilla knocking on her door. She felt a little guilty. But just a little. After a few minutes, the girl gave up and walked away. Taz started to get up.
“You don’t have to leave.” He whispered against her hair. She snuggled back in and fell asleep on his chest before the movie was over. He nudged her gently and woke her up.
“I’ll go back to my room.” She said groggily as she started to get up.
“Please, stay.”
Looking at him, she reminded him, “I don’t have sex.”
Riffraff caressed her cheek. “I’m just asking to hold you.”

Chapter 15: Hiding
“You might lose your tough guy reputation if any of the brothers hear you say that.”
Smiling at her, he suggested, “I’ll just have my woman beat them up
“Oh, who’s that?” she whispered.
“It’s an open position right now, but hoping that it will be filled.”
“Any candidates?” her smile was small, but he could hear it in her voice.
“Just one.” He answered and leaned in to kiss her and her eyes widened. “Just a kiss. If you don’t want me to kiss you, tell me.”
Taz moved the short distance between them and pressed her lips to his. He let her lead and was rewarded with her rolling to her back, pulling him on top of her. She deepened the kiss and wrapped her arms around his neck. Groaning, he wrapped one arm around her, lifting her off the bed and holding her to him. His other hand clutched the comforter to keep from moving to her breast.
“Babe, we need to stop.” He whispered against her neck and his body shivered with need.
“I’m sorry.” She whispered shakily as a single tear slipped out.
Lifting himself up he brushed the tear away with his thumb. “Don’t be. I offered when you were ready. That was before I knew why, only that you did it for your fighting. I know there’s more to it now. I’m not going to push for anything.”
“I was drunk. Completely fucking out of it trashed. I don’t even really remember what happened. Knuckles found him raping me. I was blacked out.”
“Did he actually kill the bastard?”
Taz nodded.
“Not sure if I’m happy about that or not.” He smiled at her. “I think would like that honor.”
“Knuckles was pulled before the club before they even moved Stinger’s body.” She explained. “But he wasn’t the only one to find Stinger.”
“Obviously, he didn’t suffer any consequences.” He ran his knuckles down her cheek. “But you have.”
“It could have been worse.” Taz said it without thinking. That was the one time that she was thankful for her situation.
“How?”
She smiled at him. “It was what brought me here.”
Riffraff lowered his mouth to hers. The kiss was just as passionate before, but now he was a little more protective of her. Not just in general, but from himself and his desires.
