She led me into another room, dragging me and occasionally looking over her shoulder to make sure that no one was following us.
“here” she said handing me a foreign object. I looked at her sceptically, stretching my hands to receive what she was handing me.
“what is this?” I looked at her, trying to understand what it was.
“your mother wanted you to have it” I scoffed at first, then rolling my eyes at the line.
“you might want to try another line. Clearly it didn’t work the first time.” I did not completely know what was happening, but with the way Helios was acting, they could not have been up to any good with me
I looked at her then looked around. “this is your scheme? To pull me away from Helios where it would be more conducive to carry out your plan?” I was entering into panic mode when she did not answer me they first time.
She looked at me with a smile on her face. “at all. I know it’s hard to believe me now, but It would make sense at the end. Please trust me” again, she had this look on her face, one I couldn’t really could not really pin point.
“trust me”
I nodded, letting out a shaky breath. Several visions attacked me at once. At first I was in the forest, two people were there, one looking,like she would pass out from either pain or fear.
“it’s almost out your grace” she said, tapping her head dry as she was sweating profusely.

she let out an ear splitting scream. I ran towards them, trying to help the woman out
They didn’t seem to see me, let alone hear me. Soon after, the sound of a child wailing rang in my head as I looked at them.
“its beautiful” I said, looking at the woman and the little girl in awe.

chapter 68
The little girl wrapped the baby in a blanket, handing it to the mother.
“I am so sorry” she cried, kissing the baby’s head over and over. “we don’t have much time, they are coming.”
“but my lady, if we leave now we would be able to evade them” the older woman shook
her head.
“no, they would just keep looking for me if I leave now, I need to distract them. You have to make sure she is safe! Please” she pleaded, looking at the girl like she was asking her to save her life, in a way, she was.”
“please, Ana, you have to make it out alive, I still need you, this little one needs you” she
looked at the woman who had the look of defeat in her eyes.
“we both know how this is going to turn out, Amber. I need to do this so that she can be
safe. Please, do whatever you must to save her, please” the little girl turned, revealing the
girl to give me the weird thingy.
“impossible” I said aloud, wondering how it was even possible. She looked unchanged. Like she had not aged even a day.
The memories started to fade from then, melting into one until they were no more. I blinked, looking at my surrounding to find out that I was back in the room.
“what was that, what did I just see?” I looked at her, still not understanding what that
was all about.
“that was the circumstance of your birth. I was your mothers trusted maid, and she was my best friend.” There was sadness in her eyes but I was still not understanding what was happening.
“but it doesn’t make sense, why do you look the same? Surely if I was the child then you should have aged at least eighteen years by now, surely it’s a trap” I refused to believe
what she was telling me.
“on the darkest day
I hope I do, find the truth I hope to seek.” She said looking me dead in the eyes.

“those are the words to the spell, we don’t have much time, Helios is approaching. If you decide to seek the truth, those are the words. But beware, the faster you know your fate the better and safer you would be” she vanished as she was saying those words, while the door swung open, revealing a very angry looking and crazed looking Helios. He looked around the room before his eyes finally rested on me.
“are you okay?” I loved the way the worry on his face matched his voice.
I smiled at him, hugging him tightly. “you shouldn’t have come, but thank you” he hugged
me back.
“you needed me, and I had to be here” he murmured, close to my ear.
“no I didn’t, I was completely fine on my own.” I said in the same low voice he had used.
“just shut up” he said in a playful voice, forcing a smile from me.
“why are you here?” he said pulling slightly from the hug to view the place one more time
to make sure we were the only ones that were in the room.
“because I am here” I said plainly but he wasn’t buying it.
“Luzia” he said sternly. I rolled my eyes, trying to evade the question because I knew that if I had told him what happened, he might have looked for her and hunted her down.
“let’s go home Helios, I am tired.” Just like that, his priority shifted, with him looking at me with concern in his eyes.
He carried me from the floor princess style “let us go home, love”
I felt my stomach flutter with what he said that but I chucked it down
