Chapter 68 Who’s Our Doctor?
“I don’t know any hackers.”
“You’re lying!”
Before calling Celeste, Angie had already contacted a hacker friend to help her remove the posts from the forum. Howev her hacker friend told her that her account had been hacked by a skilled hacker who left a bunch of viruses behind. He couldn’t remove the viruses or delete the posts with his abilities. Left with no other option, Angie turned to Celeste for help.
“My hacker friend already told me that my account was hacked, so I don’t believe you when you say you didn’t hire a harker to steal my account and post those defamatory things about me.”
Hearing this, Celeste couldn’t help but smirk. “Sorry, I don’t understand what you’re saying. If there’s nothing else, I’m going to hang up now.”
“Don’t you dare hang up!”
Angie screamed at Celeste on the other end of the line, “I’m ordering you now to get the hacker you hired to delete those posts from the forum and make an apology on your account. If you don’t, I’ll sue you for defamation.”
Celeste’s voice was cold and steady. “The one who should be suing for defamation is me. You’ve spread lies about me on the forum with no evidence, ruining my reputation and causing me to be misunderstood by everyone at Crestwood College I was going to let this slide since you apologized, but if you keep making false accusations, I won’t hesitate to have my lawyer file a lawsuit against you.”
Celeste thought, ‘Let her try to find a lawyer and sue me. I’d love to see who the judge sides with in court!”
Clearly not backing down, Angie snapped, “Don’t think your threats will scare me. If you think you can win in court, then go ahead and find a lawyer to sue me. I don’t believe you’ll win.”
Celeste couldn’t believe how far Angie was willing to go. With a mocking smile, she prepared to give her what she wanted
“Fine! As you wish,” Celeste said.
Before Angie could say anything more, Celeste slammed the phone with a sharp click.
Celeste thought, ‘Talking to her is a waste of my time. If she wants to sue, let the lawyers handle it. I’m done getting involved.‘
After hanging up, Celeste quickly sent a message to Ophelia. [Can you handle a small legal matter for me?]
Ophelia [Is this another case with Chloe?]
Celeste [No, it’s with a woman I don’t even know this time!]
Ophelia [Huh?]
Celeste exhaled deeply and quickly sent Ophelia a voice message, briefly explaining the situation.
After listening, Ophelia replied with an “OK” and texted, [This case is straightforward. You’ll win, no doubt.]
Celeste : [Here’s her number. You can contact her directly–I’m stepping out of it.]
Ophelia : [Got it.]
After finishing her conversation with Ophelia, Celeste put her phone away and stared out the window, waiting to reach her destination.
Half an hour later, she arrived at the hospital.
By the time Celeste arrived, the group of interns had already been assigned. The hospital lobby was now empty, except for Sean, who looked a bit lonely.
Celeste walked over to him. “Are you waiting for me?”
When Sean heard Celeste’s voice, a look of surprise flashed across his eyes. “I thought you weren’t coming!”
“What would have happened if I hadn’t shown up and you were left to do the internship alone?”
“I would have failed the internship, which means I’d be kicked out of this group.”
Celeste wasn’t the type to drag her teammates down, so Sean didn’t have to worry–she wouldn’t let him fail the internship.
“So, what department are we assigned to?”
“Cardiothoracic surgery.”
Successfully unlocked!
Celeste thought, ‘This is a department I’m good at, so the internship should go smoothly.‘
“Who’s our supervising doctor?”
At the mention of it, Sean’s face lit up with excitement. “Isolde, Wesley’s disciple!*

Sean thought, ‘Learning from Wesley’s disciple must be a great opportunity–surely there’s a lot of valuable knowledge to gain.
After hearing Sean’s words, a look of disdain unconsciously crossed Celeste’s face.
Celeste thought, ‘What could I possibly learn from Isolde? Celeste clicked her tongue and glanced at Sean, noticing the eager smile on his face. She couldn’t help but twitch her lips.
He seemed so excited about learning from Isolde.
‘So, where is Isolde right now?”
Sean answered, “One of her patients suddenly took a turn for the worse. She’s in the ER handling it right now. Once she’s done, she’ll come and take us under her wing. How about we wait in her office for now?”
Celeste nodded, following Sean to Isolde’s office.
As she looked around the luxurious office, Celeste sat down on the nearby couch and couldn’t help but sarcastically remark, “Isolde’s office is quite the lavish place, isn’t it?”
It’s almost on par with a hotel’s presidential suite.
It was clear that, due to her status as the heir of the Huxley family, she was receiving special treatment from the hospital. Celeste had seen other doctors‘ offices–small, simple rooms with just a bed, a desk, and a computer. But Isolde’s office was different. It was just as well–equipped as Wesley’s. Honestly, it looked even more lavish than his.
Sean missed Celeste’s sarcasm. He replied, “Dr. Huxley is the best surgeon at this hospital, second only to Wesley. So, it makes sense that her office is so luxurious.”
Celeste thought, ‘Wesley’s skills are barely above average in my eyes. If Isolde is his disciple, her skills are probably even worse. So, when Sean calls her the best surgeon at this hospital, second only to Wesley, I don’t believe it. Her? The best surgeon? Not a chance.‘
Celeste scoffed, “As soon as you said that, I knew you’ve never seen a doctor better than Isolde!”
Sean sat down next to Celeste and said, “I have. Wesley is obviously much better than Dr. Huxley.”
Celeste shook her head at Sean’s narrow view of top doctors. She noticed a colorful rose sitting nearby and picked it up to
admire it.
Sean, sitting beside her, leaned in to look at the flower. “This rose has seven colors. Is this the famous rainbow rose?”
Rainbow roses were notoriously difficult to cultivate–probably only one in every 10,000 roses would bloom with seven colors. Celeste never expected Isolde to be the one who grew it.
Celeste set the rainbow rose down, probably too roughly, causing a few petals to fall off. She didn’t mind, but Sean immediately grew anxious.
“How could you let the petals fall off the rainbow rose? Do you have any idea how expensive it is? Just one petal could be worth tens of thousands of dollars!”
看
Celeste stared at him, wide–eyed. She thought, ‘100 thousand dollars for one petal? Is Sean exaggerating a little too much?”
