He smiled and ate it.
After dinner, Celeste said goodbye to Marcus and returned to her apartment. She lay on the bed and recalled everything that had happened last night and this afternoon. She could not help but blush.
Until now, she still felt like she was dreaming. She still could not believe that she had slept with Marcus just like that.
A knock was heard.
Declan said, “Celeste, are you asleep?”
Celeste heard Declan’s voice while lying on the bed. She sat up and went to the door to open it.
She looked at Declan, who was about to knock on the door again, and asked, “What’s the matter?”
“Mom called me just now and said that your phone was turned off. She asked me to tell you to go home for dinner this Sunday and meet Mr. Hale and his family.”
Celeste wondered, ‘Mr. Hale?‘
She asked, “Why are we meeting them?”
