I had no idea Ethan was looking for me everywhere.
By then, I’d taken Alex back to our hometown.
Away from the people and events of San Francisco, the peaceful small town gave me endless inspiration.
I turned off my phone, cutting off all contact with the outside world, focusing on my design
sketches.
I heard news of Ethan again through his assistant.
He had found me.
He told me that Ethan had been searching for me, practically turning the entire city upside
down without finding a trace.

I opened my phone and showed his assistant the news notification I’d received that
morning. “What does he want me for? To attend his wedding?”
