Chapter 11
The room fell silent as everyone reacted in shock.
“Holy shit, you’ve kept this a secret? No one heard a thing about it!”
“So now that you and Cersei are done, are you gonna marry Rachel? Not to be a downer, but with your family’s reputation, that’s gonna be a nightmare.”
“For real–are you guys ready for the fallout?”
The questions kept coming. They all assumed Louis had divorced Cersei, and he would finally be with Rachel openly, especially considering their bond over the years.
As the discussion continued, Louis’s expression darkened. He tightened his arm around Rachel and lowered his voice.
“Rachel… what do you think?”
He was giving her the choice. One word from her and he’d give her everything, no matter the cost.
Louis stared at her intensely. But facing their friends‘ questions, Rachel responded with calculated calm.
“Oh, Cersei’s just mad at Louis right now. They’ve been married forever–they’ll totally get back together. Stop with these crazy jokes! Louis and I are just siblings. I could never be with him.”
She flipped her hair and batted her eyelashes. “Louis is going to win Cersei back, aren’t you, my brother?”
Her voice dripped with sugary innocence, leaving everyone staring at Louis in disbelief. Nobody thought he’d agree to such a ridiculous demand.
But Louis nodded calmly, backing his sister’s story.
“Rachel’s right. Cersei’s just upset with me. I’ll get her back soon and we’ll remarry.”
As he said this, his eyes never left Rachel’s face. He said it like it was no big deal, but the promise in his eyes made his friends uneasy.
Finally, one of them spoke up quietly.
“But Louis, you said Cersei divorced you. If she was ready to leave, she probably won’t come back easily. And if you and Rachel truly love each other. we’ve got your back. But isn’t holding onto Cersei like this a bit much?”
The question silenced the room. They’d all thought Louis’s double life with Cersei and Rachel was wrong and now they couldn’t stay quiet.
Before Louis could respond, Rachel jumped in first.
“Marrying my brother is what Cersei always wanted. She’s only upset because they’re divorced now. I’m just looking out for her sake,! She’ll definitely come back. She loves Louis so much, there’s no way she’d just give up on him.”
Louis nodded, agreeing with Rachel. If not for Rachel begging him to give Cersei a chance, he never would have married her.
Now it would be the same–once he reached out, Cersei would surely come running back. These few days were just their final moments of freedom. together.
He grabbed a bottle and gulped down the liquor. Rachel tried to stop him, but Louis pulled her into a liquor–soaked kiss.
It was the first time they’d kissed in front of their friends.
Rachel pushed weakly against his chest but quickly surrendered to her brother’s passion.
Just as Louis was about to take things further, the door flew open. Their father Philip stood there, face contorted with rage.

Chapter 11
“Louis Moore! Rachel Moore! What the HELL are you doing?!”
The two immediately pulled apart. Rachel’s face went pale, and she tried to pull away from Louis. But he held her firmly, his tone resolute.
“You saw exactly what we were doing.”
Rachel couldn’t believe it.
“Louis!” she shrieked. “What are you doing?!”
Louis looked at her seriously.
“Rachel, let’s be together for real. I’m tired of hiding. We’re not blood–related–we can be together openly. We can get married, have children. If you want, we can be together forever.”
Seeing the sincerity in his eyes and her adoptive father’s furious expression, Rachel panicked. She slapped Louis hard across the face.
“Louis, stop!”
The sharp crack silenced him. He looked at his beloved with wounded eyes, silently clenching his fists.
Their friends had wisely slipped out already. Philip let out a cold snort. Several bodyguards stepped forward and restrained both of them
“Both of you–back to the house. NOW. Nobody’s leaving until we sort this out!”
