Chapter 56: Anniversary
We all have the next two days off. I say we just fuck her until she’s preggers.

Evie lay in bed with the urn. Three years ago today, she found out she was pregnant. Then she became a widow. Hours later, the shock and stress being too much for her, she miscarried. She still had the pregnancy test. Her dad and Law were the only ones that knew about the baby. Her dad, Isaac, had been with her when she started cramping and bleeding.
Immediately, he stopped being a caring father and became a doctor. It was too late to be stopped. A little before midnight, she was rolled into a surgery suite and he completed what Mother Nature had already started. Evie was admitted to the hospital and everyone was told that it was due to shock. Even the staff was told not to mention the procedure.
The following morning, when she had planned to tell them that she was pregnant, she began making final arrangements. They were both cremated and she gave each family a small urn. The ashes had been placed in the large urn together. And as requested, a little of each was placed in the smaller urns also.
The memorial for all three men had been held together for the public. A private ceremony was then held for Richard. And then a joint ceremony for Daniel and Cade. She asked the funeral home if something else could be added to the urn. The pregnancy test was placed inside before it was sealed. Other than medical records, it was the only tangible proof of the pregnancy. She liked to think that the baby was with them in heaven.
Or purgatory.
Or Valhalla.
Or wherever they ended up. She just hoped that they were together. Imagining that made getting through today a little easier.
Scruffles lay on the pillow next to her. He slept, not knowing what the day meant.
Deciding that she could not be alone any longer, she got out of bed and went to draw a bath, adding a liberal amount of bubble bath. As the large tub filled up, she picked an outfit. Evie settled on an ivory satin corset with cap sleeves and a sweetheart cut and paired it with a black full–length skirt with a zipper that went all the way from top to

bottom. If she wore it to school, the side zipper slit would end at her knees. But tonight, it would go all the way to her hip.
Since this corset was meant to be worn as a shirt, it did not have garters. She used her matching ivory satin garter belt and ivory thigh highs. Four–inch black pumps, simple silver hoop earrings and her silver bracelet indicating that she was a sub, completed the
outfit.
When she was done soaking, washing and shaving, she applied lotion all over her body.
Then she did her hair and make up before getting dressed. At the last moment, she added
a single chain around her neck with a small triskele. Approving of her natural makeup and up–do setting off the outfit, she turned from the mirror and grabbed an oversized black
bag.
Carefully, she placed the urn in the bag. Briefly she considered taking her collar off the
urn and wearing it. She decided that the silver collar with the three hearts and single
triskele belonged with her men. Taking the bag and dropping her wallet in it, she told
Scruffles to behave as she left the apartment.
Joshua had given her the address when she had told him that she was moving to the little
town. She had driven by several times, but never stopped. This time, she used the key card
to open the gate and pulled up to the valet. As she handed over the keys, Ink and another biker walked up.
“Evie?” Ink asked as Tank opened the door.
She smiled at him, her eyes cast downward, clutching the large bag to her chest. “Hello.”
The three of them walked down the hall to the reception desk. If one did not know better, you would assume that the three were there together. Missy looked up from her computer
and smiled at the trio.
“Master Ian, Master Raymond, unfortunately, tonight is not a night for guests.”
“Is Master Joshua here?” Evie asked quietly, keeping her eyes cast downward.
