“Hi, Dad, thanks for asking, but I’m fine.”
Stella knew his motives, so she didn’t ask the purpose of the call.
Carla, who was in the living room and sitting on the sofa, although she was busy with her own hobby, her two eyes repeatedly looked her way.
“Ella, your father rarely bothers you, so did you talk to Nathan about what I asked you? I know my tone wasn’t very pleasant that day, so I’m here to apologize to you. How’s your injury? You…clearly know that your mother is not mentally healthy. When she relapsed, she could hit her, how come you didn’t dodge?”
“You have no right to talk about her! After all, who made her like this?” – Stella retorted fiercely. She knew that her mother was like
this only because of him.
She also knew that Jorge didn’t have many feelings for Fernanda, but she didn’t expect him to say anything like that about
Fernanda.
Jorge was a macho man, so when he heard his daughter talk to him like that, he couldn’t help but feel strange. But he had no choice because now he was begging her to help, so he could only be patient.
“Okay, I won’t talk about it, but Ella, the matter of the port investment, you certainly need to talk to Nathan about it. I can see that he cares a lot about you, that amount of money won’t be a problem…”
“You think too highly of me. I have no place in his heart, so I can’t give you any help. I told you, if you need it, you can ask him personally.”
It seemed that Jorge had no more patience, his voice was angry.
“If I have to ask him, then why do I need you? This project is already practically closed, and if I don’t come up with the money, do you know what will happen to me? At worst, I’ll go to prison, and then the Cassano family will be bankrupt, and your mother will take the consequences too. She cares so much about me, I’m afraid she’ll go crazy this time!”

Jorge just laughed.
“If you really care about her, do your best!” – Then he hung up the phone, and hearing the long, repeated “du du” from the phone,
Stella felt uncomfortable.
“Why was your father looking for you?” – When Carla saw that the call had ended, she felt curious and asked.
“No, it’s nothing…”
Stella shook her head. She didn’t even look at Carla, she turned her body to go up the stairs. She was so stunned. Why was Jorge clearly threatening her, but she couldn’t find another way out?
In the evening.
Nathan returned home and saw Carla sitting in the living room, as if immersed in deep thought.
“Mom, is everything okay?” – Nathan asked, and only then did Carla regain consciousness.

“It’s nothing.”
She saw that Nathan was holding something, it looked like plastic from the hospital, she pointed to it,
“What’s that?”
“It’s the medicine Rafael sent for Stella.”
Upon hearing this, Carla’s face suddenly changed.
“You still wasted time going in person to get her medicine?“”
“Yes, why? Is there a problem?”

“Nathan, how are your thoughts about Stella? Is it possible that you plan to stay married to her forever? Haven’t you forgotten what she did in the beginning to deceive you? Also, don’t forget that Olivi is abroad waiting for you.” – Carla said with her serious tone.
“Mom, don’t worry, I can deal with my own problems.”
“I’m just afraid that you’ve fallen into Stella’s trap again. Think about it, Olivia has waited for you for a long time, and Stella is not an innocent, pure girl. She married into that family for money…”
“Mom, that’s enough.” – Nathan frowned. He didn’t like Carla talking like that in front of him and he also felt a little uncomfortable.
“Don’t you trust me? A moment ago she received a call from Jorge, and he clearly asked her for money. How about later you see if she’ll open her mouth to ask about it…”
“I’ll go up first.” – Nathan said nothing more and went upstairs with Stella’s medicine.
“Don’t let Olivia down again.”
Carla said, and Nathan looked tired, moving slowly upstairs.
In the bedroom, he didn’t find Stella inside. He tried to look in Liam’s room, and it was true that Stella was there.
When he went there, Liam was already asleep, and Stella was helping to cover him with the blanket. Then she turned off the light
and left the room.
Because of what had happened last night, when she looked at him, she felt uncomfortable. She didn’t even dare look him in the eye.
“You’re home.”
Nathan nodded, and Stella followed him into the bedroom. He sat down on the bed and waved his hand.
“Come here, take off your clothes.”
Stella immediately stood guard and took a firm hold of his collar. She looked at him and remained motionless.
Her answer made Nathan laugh silently.
“What are you thing? This is the medicine Renato prescribed for you. Come here, I’ll help you apply it.”
Stella only noticed the bottle of ointment in his hand. Her awareness of his reflex movement made her blush, but she still slowly recovered. With her back to him, she took off her clothes.

Nathan unscrewed the bottle and applied it to her back; immediately a refreshing sensation came over her.
“There!”
“Thank you for everything, Nathan!” – Stella put her clothes back on When she turned to him, she thanked him, as she knew he had also helped her take care of her injuries earlier.
Stella’s skin was very good, it was delicate and white. At that moment, she even blushed, which made her look even more charming.
Nathan was fascinated by this. He didn’t know how he raised his hand and wanted to touch her face. However, without yet touching her face, his hand suddenly stopped in mid–air, and Carla’s phrase appeared in his brain: “Don’t let Olivia down.”
Nathan held out his hand and got out of bed.
“I’m going to take a shower.” – With a cold face, he said.
Stella was confused, not understanding his sudden change of attitude.
