“What are you doing, Nathan?”
Without answering, he simply reached out and pinched her lower jaw to tilt her head upward.

Stella’s lower jaw ached from the pinch, but she had no choice but to open her eyes. He deliberately blew cigarette smoke into her face, making her cough and choke severely until tears streamed down her cheeks.
“Nathan, you’re an idiot. Please, let me go!”
“Let you go?” Nathan seemed to have heard a joke. “Isn’t that what you want? I’m helping you

“No…” Stella was stunned by his words.
Suddenly, Stella felt herself being lifted high into the air. Completely unprepared, she screamed in alarm. Her hands instinctively reached out to grab something to steady herself, and she ended up clutching his arm..
“Stella, why are you holding onto me so tightly? And yet you say you don’t want this?” Nathan laughed coldly.

He carried her to the bed and swiftly threw her onto it.

Pressing her body so she couldn’t move, Stella felt Nathan’s gaze bore into her, deep and menacing like a dark lake.
She instinctively fought back, flailing her arms and legs in simultaneous protest.
“Nathan, don’t be like this. Let’s talk.”
“There’s nothing left to talk about. I just need to play my role properly!” Nathan grabbed both her hands and pinned them above her head, his expression devoid of emotion.
His eyes were cold and unyielding. In the next moment, his hand seized her clothing, pulling off her jacket and tossing it to the

Seeing her clothes stripped away one by one, Stella struggled and screamed.
“Nathan, you can’t this! Let me go, please!” Tears welled in her eyes as she shouted.
But Nathan applied even more force to restrain her movements.
“Now that insemination is no longer possible, are you sure you want me to let you go? Are you sure you don’t want to save Liam? Do you want to watch him die?”

Chapter 8
Stella’s eyes grew hollow and lifeless.
How could she give up on Liam Collins? She had once vowed to help him recover.
With trembling hands, she pushed weakly against Nathan. Her voice quivered.
“Nathan, I’m not ready yet.”
She loathed this feeling deeply.
“There’s no need to prepare for something like this,” Nathan said, refusing to release her. His hand tore away the last piece of her clothing. “Besides, haven’t you prepared enough?”
When Stella woke up, it wasn’t daytime. The sky outside was dark.
She lay facedown on the bed, unable to move. Every part of her body ached, and the room was dimly lit, with only the light from the bathroom casting a faint glow.
Nathan was no longer beside her. Instead, he was in the bathroom, showering. Trembling, she pulled the blanket over herself. At that moment, she didn’t want to face the outside world.
After a long while, she heard the bathroom door open. Nathan emerged, his footsteps approaching. He reached out to pull the blanket away, but Stella clung to it tightly, unwilling to look at him.
“Come on, get dressed. Dinner’s ready, and they’re waiting for us,” Nathan said.
Stella pretended not to hear him. Nathan didn’t bother arguing. He opened the wardrobe, changed his clothes, and left the room.
Alone in the darkened room, Stella finally lowered the blanket. Her vacant eyes stared at the ceiling, sleep eluding her.
She got up and walked to the bathroom. Standing under the shower, she turned on the water and began scrubbing her entire body.
The memory of what had just happened hammered relentlessly in her mind until she couldn’t contain her emotions anymore. She broke down, lamenting and crying.
Her sobs echoed, a catharsis for her emotions. Stella knew she had no other choice. She had believed she could retain some dignity, but in front of Nathan, she had never owned such a thing.
She hated what she had to do, but she understood. No matter how much she despised it, she had to endure for her son. For Liam,
she had to be strong and persevere.
Scrubbing her skin until it turned red, Stella still felt unclean. She told herself this would be the last time she cried. From now on, she would remain strong. Whatever obstacles came her way, she would face them for Liam.
Assuming Nathan had left, Stella hadn’t locked the bathroom door. But Nathan, hearing her muffled cries, came to investigate. Standing in the doorway, he saw her scrubbing her skin harshly while sobbing.
Her once fair, delicate skin was now an angry red.
“Wouldn’t it be easier to peel your skin off and wash it? Or are you planning to scrub until it bleeds?”
Nathan’s voice startled her. Stella froze, her entire body going rigid as she took a few steps back in alarm.
