Chapter 33
“Open the box.”
Stella hesitated for a while, but when she heard Nathan’s order, she took off the lid, and a red, custom–made dress flashed in her eyes, so she touched it.
“What’s that…” Stella prepared to ask, but Nathan had already put down his glass of wine and walked over to her.
“In three days‘ time our annual family reunion will take place, and my grandmother wants you and Liam to be there, so this dress has been tailored by the best designer in our country, it should fit.”
So it was Nathan’s dress for her..
But Stella didn’t know anything about the annual meeting. Usually, she never attended, but not because Nathan’s family wouldn’t let her, but Stella never thought it made sense for her to be there, because although she was married to Nathan, they didn’t have a real marriage. Also, Anna never forced her to attend, so those years just passed that way.
But she hadn’t expected that this year even her dress would be ready, so it seemed that she would have to attend, and besides, even Liam would have to go… But Stella still didn’t like this kind of circumstance and she also didn’t like having social subtleties with
others.
“I don’t want to go on this date, Nathan!”
“Then you should tell my grandmother directly.”
He replied, throwing up his arms and returning to his armchair and his wine.
The next morning, Stella sought out Anna Collins to discuss her presence at the family reunion, and she even used every excuse she could think of, but Anna just denied it with her head.
“You have to come, Stella!” Anna said firmly.
“You are the wife of the heir to the entire Collins group, and also, in the future, you will be the hostess of this family. So you have to attend this event at least once a year so that people know your identity.”
So, in the face of all Anna’s denials, Stella could only agree.
In fact, she understood Anna’s intention very well, she wanted to use this opportunity for her and Nathan, even more so accompanied by Liam, to appear publicly together and thus announce her status in society. But Stella really felt that this was unnecessary, because her supposed status would quickly be transferred to another woman as soon as she had a new baby
The day soon arrived, and Anna, who was used to attending every year, this time let her grandson and daughter–in–law represent her, and that was a big responsibility.
The family party was being held at the most famous five–star hotel, the Ibis, and so a whole area had been set aside.
“President, would you like me to hurry the young lady along?” The house butler, seeing Nathan sitting on the sofa with his legs up, couldn’t help but ask.
“No need, we still ay time.” Nathan was looking at the financial magazine, then raised his hand to see the clock.
In fact, Stella, who was upstairs, knew that she had wasted a lot of time. But she had never been to this kind of party, so she didn’t
know how to behave.

It took a long time to do her take–up, and even though it was light it was really exquisite, and with great difficulty, Stella was ready with her dress and make up.
Anna couldn’t help but notice Sella’s butterfly necklace, and she used her hand to examine it, her face looking happy.
“What’s this?”
“I got it as a birthday present.” When Stella said this, Anna couldn’t help but smile.
“Let me guess, you got it from Nathan?” she asked, and Stella’s face ushed slightly, then she nodded.
