Chapter 56
“Haven’t you consoled her yet? What Olivia said was true, originally hers, stolen by someone else. How could she not feel sad and hurt? She originally just wanted to visit Liam, but she didn’t expect something like this to happen. Why should you tell her that? Then she looked at Nathan.
Nathan rubbed his temple.
“I know those years were causing you a lot of inconvenience. But I told you, Liam is my son, I can’t help but help him. If you really felt unable to tolerate…”
“No…” Olivia suddenly shouted, as if
Worried that Nathan would say something that would shock her, so she quickly interrupted.
She ran towards him and reached out to hug him.
“Nathan, I beg you not to say something like that. I beg you, don’t leave me, you don’t want me. I have nothing. I only have you, Don’t be like that. If you don’t like me saying that, then I won’t say anymore. If you don’t like me appearing in front of Liam, then I won’t appear in front of him, okay? I’ll do whatever you want, just don’t let me…”
“Olivia, calm down…” Nathan pulled her away.
However, by now Olivia had lost all rationality, she shook her head continuously and didn’t want to loosen her grip.
“Nathan, I’m wrong. I’m really wrong. I shouldn’t say something like that. I shouldn’t meet him, forgive me, okay?”
When had he seen this side of Olivia?
In many people’s eyes, she was like an arrogant, inviolable white swan. However, at that moment, her tearful expression, unable to make Nathan feel anything, he thought he had really let her down.
Although it was the first time they had been together, he had never thought of staying with her. At that time they were together because they both wanted to be.
Only Olivia had always been an understanding person and never went beyond what was appropriate, so their relationship continued, and they stayed together for a long time.
Then he encountered the problem of Stella, and
was forced into marriage by Anna. He was in a period of resistance and naturally rejected Stella. Being married to Stella then, he went abroad, and not because he wanted to be together with her either. Because of her, at that time, in his heart, there was no treacherous woman.
“Nathan, what are you thinking?” Carla looked at his non–responsive attitude and Olivia’s tearful appearance. She felt so sad, and couldn’t stop herself from reminding him.
Then he regained consciousness, used his hand to pat Olivia on the shoulder and let her out of his embrace.
“Okay, don’t cry anymore. You’ve just lost your son and had surgery. It’s not good to cry!”
He took the tissue from Carla’s hand and wiped away her tears.
“I was too hard before.”
Olivia finally smiled through her tears and pulled Nathan’s hand.
“So, Nathan, you’re not going to leave me, right? You’re going to let me stay by your side, right?” At this point, he didn’t know why his mind was full of Stella’s little face.

Chapter 56
“Nathan…” Olivia noticed his low response and called out to him.
He used his hand to massage lis head and finally looked clearly at Olivia, who was standing right in front of him.
“Thank you, Nathan. I’ll vertainly be fine later and I’ll stay by your side.” She reached out to take his hand.
Nathan stared at their entwined hands, his eyes dark and gloomy.
“But then don’t ever appear in front of Stella and her son again. Liam doesn’t like the sight of you. He needs to stay calm and rest quietly. I wish today’s event didn’t happen again.”
“I know.” Although Olivia agreed, her tone sounded like a sob, plus she was biting her lip hard.
Carla felt she couldn’t stand to look at that.
“Nathan, how can you say something like that to Olivia? Why can’t she look for that woman and her son? Now it was Stella who pushed her down and made her lose the child, why should she be patient and lenient with Stella?”
“Enough!” Nathan’s cold eyes stared at Carla. “Mom, I didn’t scold you for that. Do you know what you’ve done? You clearly know that Lim has just had surgery, he needs to be calm, why should you cause trouble in his room? Are you wishing him to go through something bad again?”
Carla’s face turned sour.
“What are you saying? How could I know that if he saw you, he’d have problems? What do you think I am, so cruel? Crueler than
Stella?”
Even his words didn’t forget to mention Stella, hearing which Nathan felt extremely piercing.
“Don’t connect everything to Stella, and I hope you think sincerely about Liam. Don’t let your moods and feelings fluctuate, can you? If you can’t, then just don’t appear in front of him very often.”
Carla was furious.
“Nathan, I’m Liam’s grandmother!”
Nathan remained as cold as before.
“If you know you’re his grandmother, then you should know what to do, what’s good for him.”
“You….”
Looking at Carla, Olivia approached her and comforted her.
“Auntie, you’re okay, right?” Then she looked at Nathan. “Nathan, it’s okay, don’t say anything else.”
Nathan frowned.
“You guys go back first, I’m going to take a look at Liam.”
Hearing that he wanted to go, Olivia knew that no matter how reluctant her heart was, she didn’t dare express it now, because she was really afraid that Nathan would get angry.
