“I mean, if you would be all right with that. I would call an ambulance for you, but that would take a long time, and having a father who works in the ER, I tend to not use them unless it’s an absolute emergency.“[]
“If you have the time,” she tried not to smile at his rambling.
Dr. Parks smiled back and shook his head a little. “That is where I was meant to be today, anyway. I only came into the office to see you because you called.” His face flushed with color. “They called me to say that you were coming in. They should have sent you directly to the hospital to see me instead of booking you to see the other doctor.“[]
He walked closer to her and reached out his hand. “Stand up slowly,” he said as he guided her up. As she stood, it came to her that she had never walked into the room.]
“How did I get in here?“]
“Luckily for you, I was right behind you and was able to catch you as you fell. I carried you in.“]
She groaned and her face heated up. “I am so sorry,” she almost whined.]
“Again with your apologies. Do you apologize so much at work too?” She shook her head.[]
“I don’t embarrass myself constantly there.“]
“Well, you shouldn’t apologize for something you can’t control.“[]
“It’s still embarrassing,” she moaned and before she could say another word, he wrapped his arm around her waist and held her to his side so that they could walk.
“What do you do for a living, Pandora?” he asked.[]
She told him and saw that he was looking at her in surprise. “Let me guess, my occupation has you surprised?” she didn’t need to ask to know what he was thinking.
“Somewhat surprised but I don’t doubt that you are talented in your field. I did assume you worked in media or communications because you are so put together. Your hair up, nice dress clothes and glasses. Just just have that personality.“]
She scoffed but this was something she had heard several times before.[]
“I am not mocking you, you just look like a sweet and well–read woman.” She didn’t feel as if he was being condescending. “My car is the black one,” he stated.[]
Her eyes scanned the parking lot and were drawn to a motorcycle. Pandora slyly wondered if she could ever have something like that between her thighs. It did turn her on and she remembered what Dr. Parks had said about being easily aroused. She pulled her eyes away and saw a black mercedes parked right beside it.[]
Dr. Parks opened the door and helped her in before jogging to the other side.]
