Chapter 15: Would He Think
I’m Lascivious?
“Mm.” I nodded, unable to meet his gaze again.
Miss.Parker stood next to me, her curious and somewhat teasing eyes fixed on me, as if she sensed something was off.
“Mr.Cole, please raise your arm and keep it straight,” I said, switching to a longer, softer measuring tape and turning around to remind him politely.
Sebastian Cole stood still in front of me, and as
I moved behind him to take his measurements,
I realized his height was nearly six feet three
inches.
Fortunately, mine was 5 feet 6 inches, or I might have had to stand on a stool to measure him.
He was very cooperative, allowing me to easily finish measuring his upper body.
When it came time to measure his waist and

hips, I found myself in a predicament.
Should I hug him from the front or the back? I
was indecisive.
Strangely enough, the ladies who had been chatting and laughing just moments ago suddenly went silent, their eyes all fixated on
- us.
With that sudden attention, I felt my nerves kick in, my ears inexplicably heating up, likely turning red.
“What’s wrong, Miss.Garcia?” Sebastian Cole noticed my hesitation and asked, puzzled.
“Oh, it’s nothing. You’re just really tall,” I blurted
out.
“Should I squat down?”
“No, no, it’s not necessary.” I quickly denied his suggestion, biting my lip internally. With determination, I moved in front of him, wrapping the tape around his waist and abdomen, fastening it back in front of me.

In all my years, the closest interactions I had had with the opposite sex were with Ryan Lewis.
I had previously designed clothes for male customers, but I never had to measure them myself.
In that moment, as I wrapped my arms around him, he slightly lowered his head, and his warm breath brushed across my cheek and ear, causing my heart to skip a beat.
He had that clean, forest–like scent, fragrant and refreshing, just like the handkerchief he had given me.
For some reason, my heart raced more chaotically, as though a flame was building in front of me, heating me up from within.
But that wasn’t the end of it; after measuring his waist, I still had to measure his hips.
Embracing him face–to–face felt too intimate.
At that moment, I didn’t have the courage to stand directly in front of him again. I had to

move around and hug his waist and hips from
behind.
With my thoughts a bit disorganized, I accidentally let go of the measuring tape, and
instinctively reached for it, only to mistakenly grab his lower abdomen.
Sebastian Cole flinched slightly, and in that instant, my mind went blank as I realized what I had just done.
Oh my God!
In all my years in this profession, I had never
made such a crass mistake!
What would he think of me?
Would he consider me shameless and
lascivious, or even brazen, daring to act so frivolously in public?
“I’m, I’m so sorry!” I immediately apologized, stepping back a few paces, feeling utterly
mortified, as if I were on fire.
The group of ladies on the sofa looked over,

confused by the commotion.
“What’s going on?”

“Sebastian, did you scare Miss.Garcia?”
“No, no, it’s not that; Mr.Cole was really polite. I’m just clumsy,” I quickly explained, one hand clutching the measuring tape, hardly daring to meet Sebastian Cole’s eyes, wishing I could just disappear into the floor.
Sebastian Cole turned back to me and asked, “What’s wrong, Miss. Garcia?”
I looked up at him and saw his expression of confusion, suddenly realizing.
He was pretending not to notice, trying to cover for me, sparing me from further embarrassment.
I sighed in relief, my expression finally relaxing. a bit.
“Do you need to measure anything else?” he asked.

I quickly adjusted my composure, took up the measuring tape, and approached him again, this time carefully wrapping it around his waist to measure his hips without incident.
His hips were quite shapely.
I could feel the muscles in his lower body even
through the fabric; he was quite strong.
I quickly estimated that his waist–to–hip ratio was about 0.8–broad shoulders, narrow hips,
tall stature, and long legs–a perfect physique that could rival that of a professional male
model.
“Miss.Parker, have you noted everything down?” I turned to speak to my assistant, continuing to ease the awkwardness.
“Mm, I’ve got it all recorded,” she replied.
I nodded, tidied up my tools, and then asked each client about their clothing preferences.
Some preferred fitted styles, while others liked

looser fits. Among the same dress styles, the older women favored long dresses, while the younger ones preferred shorter ones.
I carefully marked everything down on my tablet to ensure the designs matched their requests.
Once I had finished all of this, it was nearing
noon.
Mrs.Cole invited us to stay for lunch, but I felt embarrassed and quickly made an excuse that I still had a lot of work to do, politely declining.
Sebastian Cole glanced at his watch, his handsome brows slightly furrowing. “I have a lunch appointment with Mr.Waston; I need to go.”
“Mm,” Mrs.Cole nodded, standing up. “Then you can help to see Miss.Garcia the way out.”
“No, Madam, I-”
“Miss.Garcia, please.” Before I could refuse, Sebastian Cole slightly raised his hand.

He exuded elegance and warmth, but his distinguished status still instilled a sense of awe.
in me.
I had no choice but to comply.
It also gave me a chance to return the handkerchief to its rightful owner.
As we stepped out of the building, I handed my
backpack to Miss.Parker and asked her to wait
for me in the car.
“Mr.Cole, I have something to return to you.” I
took out the neatly folded handkerchief and
handed it over.
Sebastian Cole raised his brows, a smile
forming at the corners of his lips. “You kept it!”
Recalling the earlier blunder, I looked at him.
with a somewhat awkward smile. “This is your personal item; I can’t just dispose of it.”
Sebastian Cole replied, “It’s rare for you to remember who gave it to you. At the time, I thought you were flustered.”

Mentioning the shame from the wedding day made my expression falter, and my smile. turned a bit bitter. “I was indeed flustered; I’ve
never cried in front of so many people before.”
“It was Mr.Lewis who couldn’t see your worth. You should move on.”
“Mm, thank you for the comfort.” I offered a grateful smile and raised the handkerchief
again. “I’ve washed it clean, so I’d like to return it to you.”
“No need. I never take back what I’ve given away. If you don’t want it, just throw it away.”
“Huh?”
I was taken aback and furrowed my brows as I
looked at him.
Did he have some sort of cleanliness obsession,
finding the handkerchief distasteful since
someone else had touched it?
Sebastian Cole studied my expression and seemed to sense my confusion, quickly
explaining, “Don’t misunderstand; I don’t find it

objectionable.”
Before he finished speaking, a well–dressed young man approached. “Mr.Cole, we need to get going.”
“Mm.”
Sebastian Cole nodded slightly, raising his hand
to signal me to continue walking alongside him.
I couldn’t insist on the handkerchief any longer and had to reluctantly hold onto it.
However, the whole situation still felt strange to
- me.
A grown man leaving me a handkerchief
embroidered with his surname–it felt almost
like a token of affection.
My thoughts were all jumbled, and I suddenly remembered something else.
“By the way, Mr.Cole, I’m very curious. Why were you at the wedding that day? The Garcia family and the Lewis family together wouldn’t have been able to invite you.”

Sebastian Cole’s gaze deepened, as if recalling a memory. “It was a pure coincidence that day.”
“Coincidence?” I was puzzled. Before I could ask more, we had already reached the parking
area.
“Miss.Garcia, we’re peers; there’s no need for
formalities with me–too serious.”
