I close my eyes, sending a silent plea to the Goddess. “Guide me. I need your wisdom.”
A voice interrupts my spiraling thoughts. “Your Majesty,” the pack Gamma connects with me through the mind link.
“Any updates?” I ask, rising to my feet and leaving the room.
“Yes, Your Majesty. We’ve rescued ten women out of the fifteen taken. Unfortunately, we lost one.” His report is tinged with sorrow.
“Understood. Strengthen border security immediately. We can’t afford any more breaches. I’ll speak with you soon. Well done.” I cut the link and connected with Cross.
“Your Majesty,” he greets.
“What’s the situation?”
“We managed to subdue the threat with Rosa’s help. They used magic, which is concerning.‘
“Ány casualties?”
“None on our side. The injured warriors have already healed.”

“Good. Arrange an emergency meeting with the elders and key pack members. I need Rosa there as well. Let me know when everyone is gathered.” I end the link, steeling myself for what’s to come.

As I stand before them, their expectant gazes pierce through me. They know this emergency meeting must be important.
“Thank you all for coming,” I begin, my voice steady yet laced with emotion. “I have called you here to make an important announcement.”
They lean in, curiosity lighting their eyes.
“I have found my mate.”
For a moment, silence reigns. Then, Elder Zane scoffs, his disbelief evident. I am not bothered about him at all. He has always been like that. His daughter is the strongest female in this pack Thurs he wanted me to mate with her. However, I declined. I know that I might not get his support. Nevertheless, his support is not needed. This is what the goddess wanted and no one can stop it.
“Another fake mate, Your Majesty?” Elder Kade sneers, his tone dripping with mockery.
Just like Elder Zane. Elder Kade story is similar, only that his daughter isn’t as strong as Elder Zane’s daughter.
Fury surges through me. I rise, my Alpha power radiating like an inferno. My eyes blaze, and the room quakes under my command. “Enough!” My voice booms, shaking the very walls. The elders cower, dropping to their knees under the weight of my authority.
“I have found my mate, and she is no fraud!” I declare, my tone resolute, daring anyone to challenge me.
They tremble, their confidence shattered. “She is my destiny,” I continue, my voice softening but losing none of its power. “And she is the future of this pack. Whether you believe it or not, you will respect her.”
Their silence is telling. They will comply, for they have no choice.
