Delilah
Then, just as I was about to surrender to the void, a whisper echoed in my mind, faint, urgent, and achingly familiar.
“Not yet.”
A surge of power pulsed through me, jolting me awake. But this wasn’t my world. It was another realm entirely. The seven women I had seen before were there again, just like the time I was with Farrell. This time, however, they turned to me, their expressions softening as they welcomed me.
I felt fear clawing at my chest. One thing was certain: I might as well be dead now. Suddenly, a shining figure appeared from nowhere, joining us. The light radiating from them was so intense that I couldn’t make out their features, but something about their presence felt feminine,
As the figure approached, I shut my eyes tightly, unable to bear the brilliance. But then, her voice washed over me, calm and reassuring.
“Do not be afraid. Accept the fate I have chosen for you, Delilah. Only then will you understand your true purpose and identity. Now, open your eyes and set everything right.”
Her words sent a surge of power coursing through me, reviving strength I thought I had lost. I felt refreshed, renewed, as if I had been reborn. Gradually, the scene began to fade, and I heard voices murmuring in the distance. Then, everything went blank.
When I regained awareness, I could hear voices clearly. Sandra was addressing a crowd, her tone dripping with
venom.
“She is a fake. Her powers are fake. She didn’t just seduce our King to rise to the top, but she also wants to take my beloved mate away from me.” Her words were sharp, designed to cut deep.
“Alpha Farrell, can you now see who the fake is?” someone else chimed in. My eyes were still closed, but I could feel the tension in the air.
I felt like I was being held by someone, their arms cradling me gently. But why couldn’t I smell anything? My senses felt dulled, as if I were trapped in a fog.
“What should we do about her, your majesty?” I recognized Rosa’s voice. Did she believe their lies too?
“If your pack is so blind to the truth, Alpha Farrell, then I will leave you to your downfall. But as for me, Delilah is my mate, and that stands. Anyone who lays a single hand on her again will have to face me.” That was King Maxwell. He still believed in me. Thank the goddess, I was safe.
“The ritual is not over yet,” Rowan’s voice cut through the tension. My heart swelled with hope.
“It is. Sandra won the fight,” a woman argued.
“No, she didn’t. At least, not yet. Delilah will rise and fight again, and only then will we judge their fight. Just give her time to recover. She will heal,” Rowan insisted.
“She can’t heal because she is a human woman,” Sandra snapped.
My eyes began to flutter open, and even without seeing the person holding me, I could now smell her. It was Rosa.
Suddenly, I felt a sharp, searing pain as my bones began to rearrange themselves. I screamed, the agony tearing through me. What was happening to me? Has something gone wrong?

“She is healing!” Rosa shouted, her voice filled with awe. I saw Sandra’s face pale, her expression a mix of fear and disbelief.
I stood up, shaky but determined, and looked around. Everyone was staring at me, stunned into silence.
My eyes searched for the two Lycan giants who had strangled me with their illusions. They stood at the edge of the crowd, their faces etched with surprise.
,“I
The first thing I did was speak, my voice steady despite the chaos. “The match is just going to get better now,” said, smirking at Sandra, whose face twisted with rage.
With a flick of my eyes, I created a magical boundary around the field, trapping the Lycans as they tried to escape. I would deal with them later.
“Hello, my old friend. Why are you surprised to see me healing? Oh, you still believe I am human?” Itsked, taunting her.
Sandra’s fury boiled over, and she charged at me, her fists flying. But I dodged her effortlessly, as if I were invisible. She swung again and again, but it was like she was fighting the wind.
With a single slap, her cheek turned red and burned. I tried to keep the fight fair, but Sandra’s frustration grew. Finally, she shifted into her wolf form, her body contorting as fur sprouted from her skin.
“No, Sandra. Don’t!” her father’s voice rang out, but it was too late. She had already shifted.
I stepped back, trying to create space between us. Whatever I was about to do might kill her, and I didn’t want that.
I looked at Rowan, and she spoke to me through the mindlink. “Just be yourself.”
Her words gave me strength. I glanced at Alpha Farrell and saw hope in his eyes. He wanted me to win this.
Then, my gaze fell back on the brown wolf charging toward me. Her fangs were bared, her eyes wild with rage. She lunged, aiming for my throat. I smiled coldly.
The only throat that would be ripped out was hers, and her two Lycan lovers‘. I had just figured out their secret through their mindlink. They had already claimed her as theirs. What a betrayal.
As she lunged, I stood my ground, trying not to use too much of my strength. Her paws flew up, her jaws wide open, ready to bite. But my hands moved faster than I thought possible, grabbing her thick neck.
I don’t know how I did it, but I squeezed hard, cutting off her air. Her claws slashed at me, but I flung her to the ground before she could tear into my skin. Her wolf regained consciousness and charged again.
“Finish her off now,” the witch’s voice hissed in my mind. Sandra attacked, but something inside me shifted. I couldn’t control the power surging through me.
My eyes changed, glowing golden as lasers shot from them. Before Sandra could reach me, she burst into flames, her agonized howling filling the air. The crowd screamed, and her father rushed to her side. But I wasn’t done.
The two Lycans, her lovers, charged at me, but our warriors intercepted them, arresting them before they could get close.
“Rosa,” I called, my voice steady despite the chaos. She rushed to me immediately. “Heal her and make sure she doesn’t die. I have words for her.” My eyes were still golden, my defenses on high alert.
Then, a familiar scent wafted into my nostrils, calming me. Strong arms wrapped around me protectively, and I leaned into the embrace. But as I looked up, I realized it wasn’t King Maxwell holding me, it was Farrell.
His touch comforted me, even as my mind raced with questions. But for now, I allowed myself a moment of peace
