with that, Belinda gently moved Agnes
Agnes’s eyes narrowed. It was clear that Harry’s thresteazz myds were set in her if she had known he was matching from upstairs, she wouldn’t have tried to take the soup. It had been a midlare, and n
She was angry, but her face remained pitiful. “Mom, I want to go with you to the hospital
Belinda hesitated for a moment before firmly rejecting her “Carnia has some miss you stay home‘
After saying that, Belinda left with Hazel
Once Agnes was alone with Arthur, she couldn’t hold it in any longer. She stomped her foot in fontation. Ever since that bitch, Carmila, came back, Harry has been avoiding me
“Just now, he actually yelled at me because of her Dad, you’ve got to help me deal with Carrila. If the wins over Mom and Harry, she’ll start pushing me around.”
Her voice was shrill and cutting, completely losing the usual sweetness she put on for others. Right now, the was frante, desperate, and ugly.
Arthur sat on the sofa with a grim expression, his arms crossed over his chest, his face stormy.
After a moment, as if he was struck by an idea, his expression slowly softened, and he spoke in a calm tone. Don’t worry that little bitch won’t get anywhere”
Agnes’s eyes lit up. “Dad, have you come up with a plan to deal with her?”
Arthur smirked. “In a few days, the Campbell family from Northeville will come to Sancho to bid for the Eastville project.
“If the Campbell family is set on taking that land, even if the Jackson family and the Connor family join forces, we might not stand a chance. The best way to get a share of that project is through marriage.”
Agnes frowned. “Dad, you’re not thinking of marrying Camila off to someone from the Campbell family, are you? If you marry her into one of the top families, that’s not punishment–it’s a reward. I won’t agree to it.”
Arthur laughed. “Silly girl, how could I let that little bitch get ahead of you? I heard that the Campbell family’s heir is impotent, has a vicious temper, and is cruel in his methods. He loves to ‘train‘ women to satisfy his twisted desires….* The more Agnes heard, the more excited she became, thinking, “If that’s the case, then it’s perfect! With Camila’s broken body, she’ll probably die after a few sessions with that prince, right? Great, I won’t even have to dirty my hands.” Agnes leaned in closer to Arthur, her eyes gleaming with malice. “Dad, when do you plan to make your move? Just make sure Harry doesn’t find out. Right now, he’s completely focused on protecting Camila. If he finds out, he’ll make a scene.” Arthur sneered, unconcerned. “I have everything arranged. For now, just pretend you know nothing and don’t give anything away.”
Agnes eagerly nodded. “Got it. I’ll just wait and watch as Camila that bitch begs for mercy, crying out to Mr. Campbell as he tortures her. She’ll be begging for death.”

In the hospital, Camila sat, staring blankly out the window.
At that moment, Belinda and Hazel walked into the room.
Hearing the noise, Camila turned her head. When she saw Belinda, her expression was cold and indifferent.
Belinda walked to the bedside and sat down, her eyes lingering on Camila’s pale, emaciated face. Her voice was soos she said, “Camila, you must be hungry. Let me give you some…”
“You’re not my mother,” Camila cut her off firmly.
Belinda was momentarily stunned, her heart aching, but she quickly regained her composure. “Whether you ackno odge it or not, I am your mother, and that will never change”
“You’re not! You gave birth to me but never cared Successfully unlocked!ven made me lose a finger. So no, you’re at my mother,” Camila repeated coldly.
As she heard this, Belinda’s eyes instantly filled with tears. She blinked rapidly, trying to hold them back, but they still gathered, threatening to spill over. “Camila, do you really hate me that much? What do I have to do for you to accept me again?”
Chapter #2 Marriage Alliance
But Camila didn’t answer. She remained silent, her expression distant. In this life, she would never accept her.
Belinda, feeling a tightness in her chest, tried again, her voice trembling. “Camila, please, just eat something. Once you’ve eaten, you can be as angry with me as you want. I’ll accept whatever you say. Her tone was almost pleading.
Camila, however, responded flatly, “Mrs. Jackson, I’m not angry with you. I’ve repaid the life debt you gave me. From now on. we are strangers.” Her voice was cold, offering no hint of affection, no bond between a mother and daughter.
Belinda’s heart broke again. She forced a smile, struggling to hold back her tears. “Alright, alright. You’re not angry. Just eat. After you’ve eaten, we can talk.”
“Leave.” Camila’s voice was icy, leaving no room for negotiation.
“Camila…” Belinda tried to reach out once more, but Camila’s next words crushed her remaining courage.
“I can’t eat while looking at you.”
It felt like a blow to Belinda’s chest. Her body swayed, and she turned pale, her eyes filling with tears that she couldn’t stop She quickly turned away and fled the room, barely keeping her composure as she rushed out.
Outside, she leaned against the cold wall, covering her mouth in an attempt to stifle her sobs. Despite her best efforts, she couldn’t hold back the choked sobs rising from her throat.
She didn’t know how long she cried, but after a while, she managed to calm herself. Looking through the glass window on the door, she saw Hazel sitting beside Camila, carefully feeding her bite by bite.
To her surprise, Camila was smiling at Hazel. Those once lifeless eyes now had a spark of light in them.
She couldn’t hear what they were saying, but it was clear from their expressions that Camila and Hazel were engaged in a warm, affectionate exchange. It almost seemed like they were the real mother and daughter.
The sight hit Belinda hard. She felt an overwhelming urge to burst in and pull Hazel away, to take her place beside Camila. But she didn’t dare. Over the past few days, she’d finally realized–Camila didn’t care about her, didn’t want her as a mother The truth was unbearable. Camila was her biological daughter. She wondered, ‘How could she just sever our bond so easily?” Belinda stood there, waiting for what felt like an eternity, until Hazel finally came out.
When Hazel saw Belinda, she was startled. She had assumed Belinda had already left.
“Mrs. Jackson, should we head back now?” Hazel asked.
Belinda shot her an impatient look. “You go back first,” she said, heading back toward the door.
Hazel hesitated. “Mrs. Jackson, maybe we should leave for now. Miss Jackson is tired.”
Belinda frowned. “What? I’m going to see my daughter. Do I really need your permission to do that?”
“I didn’t mean it like that.”
“Then why are you still here?”
Hazel wanted to say more, but the sharpness in Belinda’s gaze made her hesitate. With a sigh, she backed off.
Belinda snorted and pushed the door open.
This time, Camila didn’t try to stop her. She thought, ‘Some things need to be said face–to–face. Even if it isn’t for myself, I have to consider Hazel and Lucy.‘
Before Belinda could sit down, Camila pointed to the chair across from her. “Sit there.”
Belinda faltered for a moment. Camila’s rejection stung, but she still moved and sat on the other side.
Without waiting for Belinda to speak, Camila looked her in the eye and said, “I know what you’re going to say. If you want my forgiveness, it’s not impossible, but I have one condition. If you can meet it, I’ll forgive you.”
