Chapter 521 Am Her Fiancé
Chapter 52 I Am Her Flancé
Blood from Camila’s head flowed down with the rain, leaving shocking crimson streaks on the ground.
Giovani frowned. It had only been a short while, yet she had managed to land herself in such a wretched state
He remained silent, his face expressionless as always, but he still opened the car door, gesturing for Hazel and Camila to
got in.
The car sped toward the hospital. Giovani didn’t utter a word the entire time, his thoughts unreadable.
Upon arrival, the medical staff immediately wheeled Camila into the emergency room.
The hospital corridor was lit with harsh white lights, casting an eerie glow over Hazel’s anxious and exhausted face
Before long, a doctor hurried over, his expression grave. “The patient has suffered a severe head injury, excessive blood loss, and now an infection due to prolonged exposure to the rain. Her condition is critical. Who is the patient’s family? We need a signature for the surgery consent form immediately”
Hazel hesitated. “Can a housekeeper signi
The doctor shook his head firmly. “It has to be a family member. Contact them quickly–we don’t have time to waste.” Panic–stricken, Hazel fumbled for her phone, her fingers trembling as she dialed Arthur’s number. But no matter how many times she called, she couldn’t get through–Arthur had already blocked her.
Unwilling to give up, she then called Belinda. When the line connected, Hazel clung to it like a lifeline and hurriedly pleaded,” Mrs. Jackson, Camila is-
Before she could finish, Belinda cut her off coldly. “Hazel, you are getting more and more out of line. Camila is our daughter. How we discipline her is none of your business. You were fired–do not ever call me again.”
With that, the line went dead. The beeping dial tone pounded like a hammer against Hazel’s heart.
Desperate, she tried calling Harry next.
Harry had just gotten his head wound bandaged when he saw Hazel’s name flashing on his phone. He instantly guessed it was about Camila and answered impatiently, “What is it?”
Hazel, nearly sobbing, begged, “Harry, Camila’s life is in danger! Please, you have to come-”
But the mere mention of Camila reignited Harry’s fury. He touched the bandage on his forehead and sneered.
Harry thought, I’ve done enough for her, and what does she do in return? Threatening Dad with a knife, smashing an ashtray over Agnes’s head–she’s completely out of control. If we don’t teach her a lesson now, she’ll think she can do whatever she pleases.
His voice turned icy. “Her life or death has nothing to do with me.
And with that, he hung up. His ruthless rejection shattered Hazel’s last sliver of hope.
She stood helplessly in the hospital corridor,
Her desperate gaze turned to Giovani, “Sir, please… I beg you, save her.”
After working for the Jackson family for over a decade, Hazel could tell at a glance that Giovani was a man of extraordinary status.
For people like him, a single word could solve all problems. The look in Hazel’s eyes as she gazed at Giovani was that of someone grasping at a lifeline.
The doctor, growing increasingly urgent, pressed again, “The patient’s condition is critical. If we delay any further, her life will be at risk. Where is her family? We need that signature now!”
The tension in the hallway was suffocating
Giovani frowned slightly. His gaze drifted to the red rose pinned to his chest, then to the unfinished embroidery piece, Majestic Bloom, that had recently caught his attention. Then, his deep voice rang out. “I’ll sign.”
The doctor gave him a scrutinizing look. Tall and composed, Giovani exuded an effortless aura of power and nobility. Even in a stark hospital corridor, surrounded by the sharp scent of antiseptics, he stood out–like a beacon of distinction, as if he didn’t belong in such a place.
After a moment’s hesitation, the doctor asked, “And you are…?”
The question caught Giovani off guard. In reality, he and Camila were barely more than strangers who had met twice.
But before he could respond, Hazel blurted out, “He’s her fiancé.”
Then, she turned to Glovani with pleading eyes.
Giovani studied Hazel for a long moment. In the end, he said nothing and simply took the pen, signing his name on the

consent form with swift, decisive strokes.
Once the doctors took the form and rushed into the operating room, Hazel bowed repeatedly in gratitude, her eyes red- rimmed “Si, Lean’t thank you enough! If not for you. Camila would have been doomed tonight
Giovani remained indifferent. With his long leas crossed, he leaned back on the corridor’s bench, exuding a quiet but
undeniable presence.
The surgery dragged on. The night stretched long. As dawn broke and a faint light crept across the sky the operating room doors remained closed.
Then, a sharp ringtone pierced the silence Giovani slowly opened his eyes.
Despite staying awake all night, he didn’t look the least bit fatigued. His poised demeanor remained unchanged, standing out starkly against the bleak hospital surroundings.
Reaching into his pocket, he pulled out his phone. The caller ID flashed Lindsey
“Grandmother His voice was as calm as ever
On the other end, Lindsey’s voice brimmed with excitement. “You brat! Since when did you get a girlfriend? And why didn’t you tell me?”
Giovani’s brows twitched. Given how often Lindsey nagged him about marriage, he immediately suspected another round of her matchmaking attempts.
He responded flatly, “Grandmother, do you have any other reason for calling?”
Lindsey scoffed. “Can’t I just call my grandson for no reason?”
“Alright, alright,” she relented, but then her tone turned mischievous. “Just don’t scare that poor girl away with your icy personality. Tell me where you are–I’m coming to see her myself.”
“Grandmother if that’s all, I’m hanging up.” Not wanting to continue this topic, Giovani ended the call without hesitation
Lindsey, an elegant
gant woman with silver hair and warm, wise eyes, stared at her disconnected phone and sighed Lindsey said, “This brat! I don’t know who he takes after with that cold personality. The whole world spreads rumors about him being a playboy, but honestly? I wish he’d be a little more of a flirt–at least that would prove he’s capable of wooing a
woman!
“But no, here he is, nearly thirty, still single, not dating, not even interested. I was starting to suspect he might prefer men.” She continued, “For years, I’ve worried myself sick over his marriage. Now, finally, a lead! I have to keep an eye on this one- knowing his temperament, he’ll scare the poor girl away before anything even begins.”
Beside her, Keira Hamilton, a loyal housekeeper, chuckled. “Madam, how do you know he found a girlfriend?”
Lindsey grinned and tapped her phone, opening a chat with Turner. “Turner sent this to me last night. I only saw it this morning. Keira, come have a look,”
Keira leaned in
The photo displayed on the screen was enough to make Lindsey’s heart race with excitement. In it, Camila was pinned against the hood of a Rolls–Royce, Giovani looming over her. Under the dim glow of streetlights, the scene was bathed in an ambiguous warmth.
Lindsey had been ecstatic the moment she saw it.
“Well, Keira, what do you think?”
Camila’s face was only partially visible, but her sharp nose, smooth forehead, and full lips hinted at striking beauty
Yet something about her seemed oddly familiar to Keira–she just couldn’t recall where she had seen that face before. Keira hesitated. “She looks lovely, but… she’s too thin.”
Lindsey studied the photo again. Indeed, Camila’s fragile arms, her delicate fingers clutching Giovani’s collar, made her look painfully frail
“She does seem too skinny” Then, Lindsey turned to Keira, eyes alight with determination. “Pack my bags. We’re going to Sancho. I need to fatten up my future granddaughter–in–law.”
