Camila’s eyes widened in fury, her gaze burning with intense rage. She glared at the driver before her and spat out each word with deadly precision: “Move”
However, the driver acted as if he hadn’t heard her
His expression was full of disdain, the corner of his mouth curling into a mocking smirk. To him, Camila was nothing but trash. He looked her up and down with a condescending gaze, then let out a scomful snort through his nose, refusing to budge
A surge of anger flared within Camila. “I said, move!”
Her voice rose, carrying a hint of hysteria.
She reached out to shove him, but the driver was a towering mon, solid as a brick wall Pushing him was like trying to move an unshakable mountain–completely useless.
Suddenly, the driver swung his massive hand toward her face.
The slap came fast, slicing through the air with a sharp whoosh
Hazel, who had been right behind Camila, gasped in horror Without thinking, she lunged forward and yanked Camila aside.
The slap landed squarely on Hazel’s face, sending her crashing to the ground.
“Hazel” Camila’s eyes filled with anguish. Her hands trembled, fists clenched as she fought back tears of rage and frustration.
Hazel, wincing in pain, gritted her teeth and struggled to her feet. Pointing a shaking finger at the driver, she hissed, “You’re just the Jackson family’s driver, and yet you dare lay a hand on Miss Jackson?”
The driver sneered, his face twisted in contempt. “Miss Jackson? What a joke! There’s only one Miss Jackson in the Jackson family, and that’s Agnes. Who does she think she is?”
Camila’s fists tightened, her whole body trembling with fury.
Meanwhile, Lindsey and Keira had just finished checking in at the hospital and were heading toward the patient rooms when they stumbled upon the chaotic scene of the driver berating Camila
Lindsey’s gaze landed on Camila, and her eyes widened in shock. She studied the girl carefully.
“Why does that girl look so much like Glovani’s girlfriend?” Lindsey muttered.
Keira took a closer look, and realization struck her like a bolt of lightning. No wonder she found the girl familiar when she saw the photo–this was the same girl she had rescued at Neelum City’s train station over a month ago!
At the time, the girl had been desperately trying to escape from her own brother, even calling Keira “Mom” in a desperate plea for help. Keira’s heart had softened, and she had stepped in to save her.
Keira gasped, “Lindsey, do you remember the girl I told you about from Neelum City train station?”
Lindsey frowned. “I do. Why bring that up now?”
Keira pointed at Camila, her voice tinged with excitement. “That girl–it’s her!”
“What?” Lindsey staggered back, barely keeping her balance.
Back then, when Keira had told her the story, Lindsey had felt nothing but heartache for the girl. It was clear she had suffered immensely–why else would she risk running away in the dead of night instead of returning home?
Now, knowing this was Giovanis girlfriend, Lindsey’s heart ached even more.
Just then, the driver raised his fist, his face twisted in rage, ready to strike Camila.
Lindsey’s fury exploded.
A hot–tempered woman by nature, she didn’t hesitate-she stepped forward and swung her cane, smashing it down on the driver without a second thought. “You big brute, bullying a young girl? I’ll teach you a lesson!”
Lindsey showed no mercy. Her cane struck him repeatedly–head, shoulders, back–each blow landing with a satisfyi crack. Within seconds, the driver’s face was bruised and swollen,

“I’m fine, Camila gritted her teeth, fighting through the searing pain in her back. She forced her voice to remain steady. though her face had turned ghostly pale
The driver, enraged that he had missed his intended target, raised the cane once more.
Keira sprang into action. In a flash, she charged forward, shoving the driver back and stepping between him and Camila.” Try it again, and see what happens!” she bellowed.
The driver’s bloodshot eyes glared at her. “You meddlesome old woman! How dare you interfere with the Jackson family’s affairs? Even if I beat you all half to death, no one would dare say a word!”
He raised the cone once more
Hazel’s heart pounded. Desperate, she scanned the room and spotted a potted plant on the ground.
Without hesitation, she grabbed it with both hands and hurled it at the driver’s head.
The pot shattered upon impact, soil and broken branches scattering everywhere.
The driver staggered backward, dazed, before collapsing to the floor.
Breathing heavily, Hazel stammered, “Miss Jackson, hurry–go inside!”
Camila didn’t waste a second. She released Lindsey and burst into the hospital room, Hazel right behind her.
Lindsey and Keira, unsure of what was happening, followed them in.
Inside, a horrifying sight met their eyes. Agnes had her hands wrapped tightly around Emily’s throat.
Emily’s face was beet red, her lips turning a ghastly shade of blue from lack of oxygen.
Camila’s mind went blank. Her body moved before she could think–she lunged at Agnes, grabbing fistfuls of her hair and yanking with all her might. “Agnes, let go! Let gor
Agnes shrieked as Camila’s vicious tugging forced her to release Emily. The two women tumbled to the ground, clawing and scratching at each other
Gone was Agnes’s usual meek and timid façade. Her eyes blazed with madness, and her sharp nails dug deep into Camila’s arms, leaving long, bloody scratches.
Lindsey’s heart ached at the sight. “Keira, pull this lunatic away from her
Keira and Hazel sprang into action, each grabbing one of Agnes’s arms and restraining her. No matter how she thrashed and screamed, she couldn’t break free.
Camila didn’t care. She scrambled to Emily’s side. Emily lay lifelessly on the bed, motionless.
Camila’s heart stopped.
Her eyes widened in terror. Lips trembling, she called out, “Emily? Emily!”
She shook her, but there was no response.
Her trembling hand hovered just beneath Emily’s nose, desperately trying to feel for any sign of breath. Nothing. Not even the faintest warmth of life.
At that moment, Camila’s world collapsed.
“Doctor!” She tried to scream, to run, but her legs felt like they were made of lead, too heavy to move.
Her body lurched forward as she clutched Emily’s shoulders, her fingers digging in as if she could somehow shake her back to life. Tears streamed down her face, an uncontrollable flood bursting past all restraint
“Hazel, call a doctor! Now!” Camila’s voice was raw, barely more than a broken rasp
Hazel, realizing the gravity of the situation, shoved Agnes aside and spun toward the door, ready to run for help.
But the moment she reached it, three towering figures blocked her path.
The man in front stood rigid, his face dark with fury, his piercing eyes locked onto Camila like a predator ready to strike. Through gritted teeth, he spat, “Camila, what the hell are you doing to Emily?!”
