Chapter 65 They Only Care About Agnes
Camila let out a cold snort, completely unimpressed.
“Maintaining order? What a joke. What you’re really doing is protecting Agnes! The patient isn’t complaining about the noise and isn’t asking to rest, yel you’re so desperate to drive us out. Makes me wonder what exactly are you trying to hide?” “Watch your mouth Ivanna’s voice shot up an octave, her eyes flashing with anger
Camila scoffed. “This is how I talk. Even though you’re the hospital director, you have no right to stop a patient from identifying the person who hurt her. If you keep interfering, I’ll have no choice but to suspect you’re deliberately covering up for the real murderer.”
“Emily will point out the culprit today- no one is stopping her Camila’s firm stance instantly enraged Ivanna
Ivanna’s face darkened, veins twitching on her forehead. She wanted nothing more than to rip Camila’s mouth apart, but with so many people present, she couldn’t afford to lose control “You’re being completely unreasonable. Keep this up, and I’ll have security throw you out!”
Camila didn’t back down. She stepped forward, locking eyes with Ivanna, “Go ahead and call them. Let the whole hospital know that their so–called respectable director is shielding a murderer. Let’s see how long you can keep your position after

Ivanna stiffened. Her hand, which had been reaching for the emergency call button, froze in midair,
Arthur, seeing Ivanna being humiliated, felt a pang of heartache. His expression twisted as he lunged forward, grabbing Camila’s arm “You disgraceful girl! Haven’t you embarrassed yourself enough? Get home, now!”
Camila forcefully shook off his grip, her eyes bloodshot. “You’ve been siding with your adopted daughter Agnes all this time–letting me, your own flesh and blood, suffer injustice for five whole years! If you’re not ashamed, why should I be? Today, I’m getting justice!”
Arthur’s face turned a livid shade of blue, but he had no way to refute her.
Belinda, on the verge of tears, pleaded, “Camila, stop this. Let’s go home and talk it out, okay?”
Camila’s gaze was filled with disappointment. “Go home? So you can cover up Agnes’s crimes in private?”
“You two really are the best parents ever–terrified that Agnes will face the consequences of her actions. But have you ever once feared that your own daughter would suffer for a crime she didn’t commit?”
With every accusation, Arthur’s face grew darker, while Belinda sobbed uncontrollably, her body trembling.
“It’s not like that, Camila! You’re my daughter. How could I ever bear to see you suffer? Everything I did I did it for your own good,” Belinda choked out.
For her own good? By making her endure injustice time and time again?
Camila’s voice was cold. “I’ve been carrying someone else’s crime on my back for five years. Now, I just want Emily to identify the real culprit. If you truly care about me, you wouldn’t stop me–because this isn’t just about me. It’s about Emily. It’s about justice.”
Arthur and Belinda fell into stunned silence
No one knew the truth better than they did.
Arthur had witnessed Agnes pushing Emily down the stairs.
Belinda had seen the surveillance footage that captured Agnes committing the crime.
Five years ago, Camila had no evidence. No matter how much she screamed for justice, no one listened.
Now that Emily–the victim herself–was awake, how could Camila possibly let this chance slip away?
Ivanna saw the terror in Agnes’s eyes, and it broke her heart. Then she looked at Camila–so aggressive, so unrelenting- and her fury boiled over. She jabbed a finger in Camila’s face. “If you don’t stop this madness, I’m calling the police!”
At the mention of the police, a slow, chilling smile curled on Camila’s lips. “The police? Great. Call them. That way, I can finally rip off a certain someone’s mask of hypocrisy right in front of them.”
Ivanna had only been trying to intimidate her. She never actually intended to involve the authorities. Her jaw clenched as she glared at Camila, but she didn’t make a move.

Seeing that Ivanna wasn’t acting, Camila pressed, “Weren’t you going to call the police? Go ahead. What are you waiting for?”
Chapter 65 They Only Care About Agnes
Ivanna was stuck.
Camila then pulled out her own phone Fine Since you won’t, I will. It’s been five years. It’s time for the truth to come out
She was just about to hit the dial button when a large hand snatched the phone from her grasp and smashed it to the ground. The phone shattered into pieces.
Camila’s head snapped up just in time to see a hand swinging straight at her-
A loud smack echoed through the room as the slap sent her crashing onto Emily’s hospital bed. A sharp pain seared across her cheek. Her ears rang.
“You disgraceful girl! Are you still trying to humiliate us? Do you want to completely ruin the Jackson family’s reputation? Arthur roared, his eyes blazing like an enraged lion. He raised his hand again as if determined to beat her to death.
But Camila wasn’t thinking about the pain. Her heart clenched in fear–Emily!
Emily had just woken up from a vegetative state. She was already frail, and now, with Camila’s weight crashing into her, she had lost consciousness again.
“Emily! Emily!” Camila’s voice trembled as she cried out, tears streaming uncontrollably down her face. “Please wake up! Just hold on a little longer!”
If she couldn’t prove Agnes’s guilt today, it would be nearly impossible in the future.
As Emily lay unconscious, Arthur, Belinda, Harry, Agnes, Owen, and even Ivanna all sighed in relief.
William, however, rushed forward and shoved Camila aside, his face twisted with worry. “Emily! What’s wrong? Please, don‘ t do this to me!”
But no matter how he called out to her, Emily didn’t wake up.
His heart wrenched in pain. He turned to Camila, eyes blazing with fury. “This is all your fault! If you hadn’t made such a scene, Emily wouldn’t have fainted! If anything happens to her, I will never forgive you!”
He immediately scooped Emily into his arms, snapping at Ivanna and the doctor, “What are you standing around for? Get her treated–now!”
Ivanna’s eyes gleamed with a trace of satisfaction as she quickly ushered the doctor and William out of the room. Camila tried to follow, but Arthur blocked her path. “Enough! Go home, now!
She could see it–Agnes was this close to being exposed. And yet, every single person in this room was stopping her A wave of dizziness crashed over Camila. A feeling of utter despair swallowed her whole.
Then, she laughed. It was a chilling, hollow laugh that echoed through the ward, filled with madness and agony. “You’ve all betrayed me. Every single one of you.”
Arthur was taken aback by her sudden shift but quickly turned furious. He kicked her to the ground and raised his fist
again.
Lindsey, Keira, and Hazel rushed forward to stop him.
Lindsey had watched everything unfold. She had pieced together Camila’s suffering, and the more she understood, the more her heart ached. “You call yourselves parents? Ignoring your own daughter, protecting a monster–you have no heart!” Arthur roared, “Stay out of my family’s business! He swung his arm, shoving them away.
His fist was about to come down on Camila.
The entire time, Belinda, Harry, and Owen stood by watching–not one of them stepped forward to stop Arthur from Xunleashing his violence on Camila.
His fist was just about to land on her, but in the next second, a bloodcurdling scream tore from Arthur’s throat.
A fruit knife gleamed in Camila’s hand, its blade buried deep into Arthur’s arm. The bloodstained tip had pierced straight through his flesh, emerging from the other side.
Something inside Camila snapped. A flood of memories surged through her mind–five years of suffering, injustice, betrayal. and pain.
“My innocence? I don’t need it anymore. What I want… is your lives!” Camila shouted.
With those chilling words, she ripped the blade free. Blood sprayed across her face, warm and blinding.
Like a vengeful specter, she didn’t hesitate.
She raised the knife again–this time, driving it straight for Arthur’s heart
