Chapter 73 The Worthless Wretch
Harry’s face darkened even more. He took a deep breath, trying to keep his emotions in check, but his voice already carried
an undeniable tremor
“Camila is missing, and you’re still thinking about working with Mr. Campbell? If you had spared even a fraction of the concern you have for Agnes on Camila, would she have been driven to such despair?”
He gritted his teeth, his voice filled with suppressed rage. “Dad, in your heart, who is truly your doughter?”
Arthur’s expression instantly turned grim. He slammed his hand against the bedside table and bellowed, “So what if that wretched girl is missing? Are we supposed to stop living because of her? It’s not like I made her disappear–she can go die wherever she wants. At least I won’t have to see her and have my mood ruined every day”
His face was flushed red with anger, his eyes filled with resentment. “Ever since that disgrace came back, I haven’t single peaceful day!”

He panted heavily before continuing, his tone even colder. “She’d better never return. Whether she lives or dies is none of my concern. Right now, what matters most is the Jackson family’s business.”
His eyes held a chilling indifference, as if fatherly love had never existed in him.
Hearing Arthur’s heartless words, Harry felt as if a bucket of ice water had been poured over him. He stared at Arthur, his lips trembling, and finally voiced the question that had haunted him all night.
Harry asked, “Dad, five years ago… you already knew that it wasn’t Camila who pushed Emily down the stairs, didn’t you?”
His gaze locked onto Arthur, watching every subtle change in his expression
Arthur’s face stiffened, and a flash of panic flickered in his eyes. But he quickly composed himself, “Why are you bringing. this up now?”
“So I was right” Harry’s voice shook, a mix of disbelief and fury. “You knew it wasn’t Camila?”
Arthur fell silent for a moment before replying coldly. “It’s all in the past. There’s no point talking about it now. Harry, the most important thing right now is securing our deal with Mr. Campbell for the Eastville project. Everything else is trivial.”
“Trivial?” Harry suddenly burst into laughter, but there was no joy in it–only deep, mocking sorrow. His laughter grew louder and more unhinged until tears welled up in his eyes.
“You knew Camila was innocent, yet you stood in court and swore she was guilty. You forced me to testify against her, to condemn my own sister. What had she done to deserve this? She was your daughter! And you” He choked on his words, his breath shuddering. “You threw her into hell and made me help you do it
Harry’s chest heaved violently as he spoke. “She was my sister! Can you imagine what it felt like for her? Being betrayed by her own brother in court? No wonder she never forgave me after she got out–how could she?”
Even though he was laughing, the pain in his heart was unbearable.
“Enough” Arthur roared, his eyes flashing with warning. “This is not the time to dwell on the past. Get a hold of yourselff Harry glared at him, his voice icy. “You let Camila take the fall for a crime she didn’t commit. You let her rot in prison, endure. endless torment. Do you really feel no guilt? Do you not fear karma?”
Arthur trembled with rage, pointing a shaking finger at him. “You… You dare speak to me like this? Everything I did was for the Jackson family’s reputation! Camila is just a worthless wretch–so what if she had to be sacrificed?”
“Sacrificed?” Harry let out a bitter laugh. “She was beaten in prison. Her leg was broken. They even took one of her kidneys! And you–you don’t feel even a shred of remorse?”
For a brief moment, Arthur’s face changed at the mention of Camila’s missing kidney, but he quickly masked it with indifference. “That girl has always been trouble. If she was beaten in prison, she probably brought it on herself. As for her kidney, maybe she got into a fight and it was damaged–so they removed it. It’s her own fault.”
His tone was as casual as if he were talking about the weather, “Stop wasting time on this nonsense. The only thing that matters now is securing the Jackson family’s business. Did you get Mr. Campbell’s number like I asked? If you did, call him and set up a meeting
Harry slowly stood up, his expression filled with utter disappointment. “Dad, I used to respect you. I followed your lead. But on this… I can’t, and I won’t.. I will find out the truth about what happened five years ago, and I will clear Camila’s name.”
With that, he turned and walked away, his step Successfully unlocked!
Arthur, shaking with rage, shouted after him, “If you are ten don’t bother calling yourself my son And forget about having any part in the Jackson family’s affairs!”
But Harry didn’t stop. He didn’t even turn back. He had only one thought in his mind–he had to find Camila and make things right.
Chapter 73 The Wormless
Just as he reached the door, Agnes walked in, carrying a thermos
Her face was adorned with a sweet smile, her voice gentle “Dad, I made you some soup
Then, she noticed Harry standing there, his face clouded with fury
Her heart clenched with unease at the sight of him, but recalling how he had defended her the day before, she quickly relaxed. Smiling at him, she said, “Harry, you’re here too! Do you want to stay and have some with Dad?”
Harry said nothing. His expression darkened further as he strode up to Agnes, suddenly grabbing her shoulders. His eyes were filled with accusation. “Camila is missing. Are you happy now?”
Agnes paled in shock, her voice trembling Harry, I… I didn’t……….
“You dare say you didn’t? His voice was cold, his words like daggers “Camilo disappears, and suddenly, you’re the Jackson family’s only daughter. Isn’t this exactly what you wanted?”
Agnes looked utterly insulted Tears welled up in her eyes as she sobbed, “Harry, how can you think that? We’ve been siblings for over twenty years. You know what kind of person I am.”
For years, Harry had believed in Agnes’s kindness. He had always favored her, thinking she was soft–hearted and harmless And because of that belief, he had never once doubted her when Emily was pushed down the stairs. He had turned on Camila without hesitation.
But after yesterday after everything he had seen… he knew he had been wrong.
Without warning, he slammed Agnes against the wall. She gasped in pain, her back hitting the hard surface with a dull thud. Tears streamed down her face as she looked at him in horror. “Harry You’re hurting me.”
Arthur, seeing his precious daughter in distress, was enraged. Ignoring his own injuries, he climbed out of bed, wincing as pain shot through his body.
He gritted his teeth, enduring the agony, and then, with all his strength, slapped Harry across the face. “You ungrateful bastard! Let go of Agnes!”
Harry’s head snapped to the side from the impact.
At that moment, Michael walked in.
He had returned to the hospital after hearing about Arthur and Belinda’s injuries, intending to check on them. But the sight before him was not what he expected–he had walked into a family tearing itself apart
Frowning, he rushed over, grabbing Harry and pulling him out of the room. “Harry, your father is still recovering. What are you doing?”
Harry’s eyes were bloodshot, his emotions barely contained. He quickly recounted the events of the past day in a hoarse voice.
Then, with exhaustion weighing heavily on him, he muttered, “Michael… Camila’s leg is injured. She’s missing a kidney. Her body is so weak… I’m scared…”
Michael froze. “Missing?
His mind flashed back to the frail, unconscious woman in Giovani’s arms at Healthcare Hospital.
