At the Campbell residence, Camila carefully set down her embroidery needle and let out a long sigh of relief. The entire “Majestic Bloom” was finally complete–a stunning masterpiece born from her tireless effort.
She rubbed her slightly sore eyes, her gaze lingering on the vibrant roses blooming on the fabric. Pride swelled in her chest. Every stitch carried her heartfelt devotion, and she was certain Lindsey would adore it.
Camila slowly stood up, her legs numb from sitting too long. She stumbled but managed to steady herself by gripping the edge of the table.
Only then did she realize that she had stayed up the entire night. Her body felt utterly drained, every muscle aching in protest.
The soft morning sunlight filtered through the half–open curtains, casting a gentle glow on Camila’s pale face. The light seemed to wrap her features in a faint golden hue.
She squinted slightly, savoring the warmth of the sun on her skin. The exhaustion weighing on her body seemed to ease, replaced by a fragile sense of renewal.
She stretched with a deep yawn, and her joints creaked softly, as if voicing their complaints about the night’s relentless
effort.
With utmost care, she rolled up the embroidery and placed it inside the ornate gift box Giovani had prepared. The intricate carvings on the box perfectly complemented the elegance of “Majestic Bloom,” making it the ideal vessel for her creation.
She stepped out with the gift box in hand and spotted a tall man in a black suit. For a moment, Camila thought it was Giovani, but when the man turned around, she realized it was Turner.
Turner’s face lit up with a warm smile as he greeted her. “Ms. Jackson, you must be tired.”
Camila blinked in mild surprise. “Turner, what brings you here?”
He quickly stepped forward, took the gift box from her hands, and carefully placed it on a nearby table. “Mr. Campbell wasn’t sure when you’d finish, so he’s already taken Mrs. Lindsey Campbell to the banquet hall.”
Camila gave a small nod. She knew Lindsey’s birthday banquet wouldn’t feel right without the host family present to set the
tone.
Her eyes wandered to the clock on the living room wall. It was almost ten o’clock. Feeling a bit embarrassed, she said, “Turner, could you wait a moment? I’d like to freshen up before we leave.”
Without even glancing in the mirror, she knew she looked too worn out for Lindsey’s banquet.
To her surprise, Turner snapped his fingers, and a team of stylists immediately walked in, carrying makeup cases.
“Ms. Jackson, Mr. Campbell has already arranged for stylists. They’ll have you ready in under thirty minutes, and we’ll make it to the banquet hall well before the event starts at eleven,” he assured her.
Turning to a stylist, he said, “Andy, Ms. Jackson is all yours. Do your best.”
Andy, the flamboyant stylist, crossed his arms and struck a dramatic pose, his fingers delicately curled. He gave Camila a once–over, his face twisting into an exaggerated grimace. “Seriously, why would a guy like Giovani–so tall, so manly—like someone as scrawny as you?”
Camila didn’t know how to react to his harsh remarks.
Andy clicked his tongue and continued, “Your skin’s as dry as sandpaper, your complexion’s a disaster, and don’t even get me started on those lips–chapped and peeling. Oh my. Are you even a girl? Honestly, I’ve got more femininity than you do.”

Camila didn’t know how to react to his harsh remarks.
Turner’s eye twitched, and he cut in with a cold tone, “Andy, if you’re not interested in this job, just tell me.”

“Fine. I’ll shut up, okay?” Andy huffed, rolling his eyes dramatically. He shot Camila a glare that could cut through steel, as if she was his biggest competition.
Camila glanced at Turner, her eyes filled with doubt.
Turner caught her look and gave her a reassuring nod, mouthing silently, “Relax. He’s like this with every woman who gets near Mr. Campbell. It’s not just you.”
Understanding dawned on Camila, and she responded with a bright smile aimed at Andy. “Thank you for your hard work, Andy.”
Andy let out a dramatic sigh but got to work, snapping his fingers to direct the makeup artists. They started by gently wiping Camila’s face with a cotton pad, evening out her skin tone to erase the dullness left by her sleepless night.
Next, Andy applied a thin layer of foundation with a sponge, skillfully covering the dark circles under her eyes and the traces of exhaustion. Her skin now looked smooth and radiant, as if lit from within.
He picked up an eyebrow pencil and carefully shaped her brows. Camila’s natural brows were already elegant, so he only made slight adjustments, adding a touch of definition and charm.
With a brush, he swept a soft pink eyeshadow over her eyelids, blending it seamlessly. A hint of deep brown at the corners added depth, giving her eyes a gentle yet captivating allure.
A fine line of eyeliner and a coat of mascara brought her eyes to life, making them sparkle with a newfound vibrancy.
For blush, Andy chose a subtle peachy pink, dusting it lightly over her cheekbones to give her a soft, youthful glow. Finally, a touch of rose–colored lipstick revived her lips, making them look soft and glossy, as if touched by morning dew. Andy stepped back, tilting his head as he admired his work. With a dramatic sway of his hips, he ran his fingers along a row of exquisite dresses before stopping at a pale pink gown.
The dress, made of sheer fabric with a slightly trailing hem, was perfect for a young lady. “Fresh and radiant–that’s how a young lady should shine,” Andy declared with a flourish.
When Camila slipped into the gown, it was as if she had been transformed. The dress highlighted her elegance and vitality, a stark contrast to the weary and somber aura she had carried before.
Andy completed the look by styling her hair into a low bun, letting a few soft strands fall naturally around her ears. He added a refined pearl necklace, and in an instant, Camila radiated a gentle, fairy–like charm.
Camila stared at her reflection in the mirror, hardly recognizing herself. She had almost forgotten the lively, cheerful girl she used to be before returning to the Jackson family. She never thought she could look so vibrant and full of youthful
energy.
Andy stepped back with a satisfied grin, admiring his handiwork. “What can I say? I’m a miracle worker. I can make even the worst look good.”
Camila, already used to Andy’s sharp tongue, didn’t argue.
Turner, standing nearby, couldn’t help but exclaim, “Ms. Jackson, you look absolutely breathtaking today.”
He could barely contain his excitement as he imagined Giovani’s amazed reaction to how stunning Camila looked.
Camila was naturally beautiful, but life had been harsh. It left her feeling insecure, as if she couldn’t shake off a sense of

unworthiness. Even when Lindsey treated her kindly, she couldn’t help but look like she didn’t deserve it.

That timid demeanor might have seemed awkward on someone else. But after learning about Camila’s past, Turner could only feel a deep sense of pity for her.
‘She’s such a kind soul, yet life has never rewarded her. Thankfully, she met the Campbells. I believe Ms. Jackson’s future will only get brighter from here, Tuner thought to himself.
His expression softened as he looked at Camila. With a gentlemanly gesture, he extended his hand to invite her forward. His respectful and attentive demeanor warmed Camila’s heart, filling it with sweetness. Her eyes glistened with unshed tears. ‘It’s true,‘ she thought. ‘Good people tend to be surrounded by good people.’
They were nothing like the Jackson family, where Arthur, Belinda, and Harry all despised her. Even the household staff followed their lead, treating her with disdain.
Agnes’s driver was just as bad, his mocking gaze clearly implying, “Ms. Agnes Jackson is way above you, Camila. You’re nothing compared to her.”
Taking a deep breath, Camila straightened her back, lifted her chin, and walked gracefully toward the luxury car waiting outside.
Turner immediately bent down to lift the long train of her dress.
Sean Evans, the driver, was already waiting by the car. Seeing Camila, he opened the door with a gloved hand and thoughtfully shielded her head with his other hand as she got in.
Andy stood at the villa’s entrance, watching Camila being treated like a princess. His face was full of envy. “That girl’s lucky.”
