A second chance for the CEO
Chapter 10
Caroline sensed that something was wrong. She reached out to pull stella’s scarf and, when she saw it, she was a little surprised, because Stella’s neck was unexpectedly purple from sucking.
Stella’s face turned pale, and she quickly put the scarf back on and tidied it up again.
“Was that the punishment?” – Caroline’s voice sounded furious.
“Since there’s no more fertilization, he and I can only go that route, can’t we?” – Stella laughed emotionlessly. – “Maybe, in his mind, I still want to seduce him.”
“But does Nathan still think that what happened four years ago was your plan? He doesn’t understand that this matter has nothing to do with you, it was your father…”
“Carol, but for him, what’s the difference between my father’s actions and mine?” – Stella replied and, after a moment, her phone rang. She looked at it. – “Speak of the devil, he always appears.”
Stella answered the phone.
“Hello? Dad? What’s up?”
“Ella, I hear Nathan’s back. Why don’t you take him home for dinner?” – Jorge Cassano laughed; his mood seemed good.
Nathan completely hated Stella’s family and disliked Jorge, so how could she invite him to her family home? It was practically
impossible!
“Unfortunately it won’t be possible, he’s busy with work.”
“I know he’s busy, but today is my birthday. Have you forgotten? I’ve already picked up Liam and taken him home. Later, you and
Nathan are coming over.”
Jorge finished speaking and didn’t wait for Stella to reply, hanging up immediately. When Stella heard this, she despaired. After all, they were with Liam.
“Where are you going now?” – Caroline asked overhearing the conversation, watching Stella prepare her things to leave.
“I’m going to go after Nathan and ask him to come to my family’s house today.”
“But Stella, will he agree to go there with you?” – Caroline frowned.
Anyone knew that Nathan simply didn’t like Stella and, in his eyes, she was just like Jorge. So how could he be willing to go with
her to her family’s house?
“I don’t know, but Liam is there, and I need to go after him.“—
Leaving the cafeteria on her way to Nathan’s company, Stella thought carefully about how to convince the man to go to her family home. She even tried calling, but no one answered.
Although Stella had been in the Collins family for four years, she was never presented to the public as the Collins family’s daughter- inslaw, and she new made a point of it either. In fact, Stella was only the daughter of the mistress; her mother was always the third person in Jorge’s marriage. When his real wife died, only then did she become the daughter of the Cassano family. In other words, she was the illegitimate daughter.
The year she married Nathan because of her pregnancy, many in high society said it was an excellent trick and that, to be someone

legitimate, she was capable of doing anything.
But in those four years, Stella was very discreet. She never set foot in Nathan’s company, so no one in the company knew her.
When she arrived at the company, the receptionist looked at her suspiciously. In order to meet Nathan, she had to reveal her identity. At that moment, Stella could clearly see the receptionist’s surprised expression.
Because of her identity, Stella was quickly taken to Nathan’s office. However, she had to wait because the secretary informed her that he was in a meeting. It was no wonder that he hadn’t answered the call.
Stella sat down on the sofa, looked at her watch and had no choice but to wait until the meeting was over.
After Liam fell ill, Stella’s every thought was focused on him. She often looked after him, but at night she couldn’t sleep. Now, sitting on the sofa, she, who was already a little sleepy, fell asleep while waiting.
When Nathan finished his meeting, his secretary informed him that Stella was at the company looking for him. He frowned with displeasure and headed for his office. To his surprise, the first thing he saw was Stella leaning back on the sofa, asleep.
He went in front of her and intentionally threw the folder in his hand onto the coffee table. He thought Stellà would wake up at the noise, but she kept her eyes closed and remained silent.
“Stella?” He called out to her, but she didn’t answer.
Nathan used his long finger and touched her eyebrows. He thought about patting her cheek, but Stella’s hand unconsciously moved to take off her scarf. This meant that Nathan could see the mark on her neck.
Nathan remained rigid. In his mind, a scene seemed to appear, and it was the one from last night, when Stella was lying under his body. At first he had shown punitive interest in touching her, but then he had lost control.
He never thought he could lose control over Stella. After all, that was ridiculous.
Aware that he was having a vivid imagination, he quickly cut out the image in his mind. He reached out and patted Stella’s cheek. The softness and delicacy of her skin startled him.
Once again, he observed Stella. At that moment, Nathan couldn’t help but admit that she was a beautiful woman. But he also thought she was very sneaky, capable of doing anything to achieve her goals. Thinking back to four years ago, Nathan’s face turned cold and he gripped Stella’s chin tightly.
With this movement, Stella woke up startled. Her expression looked panicked. Her long eyelashes flickered for a while and her mouth was slightly open, showing a certain charm.
Nathan cursed silently. His thumb and forefinger pinched her lower jaw a little.
“Even in your dreams, you don’t forget to seduce people, Stella. It’s really hard to change your own nature.”
Stella, now fully conscious, heard Nathan’s cold tone. Despite this, she still couldn’t completely ignore him. Her face turned pale, but she quickly took action, reaching out to dismiss his hand.
She hurriedly tied her scarf tightly.
“I didn’t come here to fight with you, Nathan. It’s an important matter.” – Her voice sounded serious, but controlled.
“Important? Nathan laughed coldly. – “What more could you want. Stella?”
