Chapter 39
She had heard clearly.
Nathan had used Liam’s life to threaten her,
She felt her whole body shiver, but not because of the cold, but because of her heart.
When she still wasn’t responding, her hands were already moving. She slapped Nathan fiercely across the face.
“Nathan, you didn’t deserve to be Liam’s father!”
She did so, then got out of the elevator. But she didn’t leave and just followed him towards the operating room, she had no choice.
For Olivia, Nathan could say something like that, what else could she do?
In truth, she wanted to see if Olivia was dead and if he would let them follow him, but she couldn’t bet on Liam’s life, because Liam
is her life.
Carla really seemed to be waiting for Stella, she stood guard outside the operating room, she looked anxious and worried.
When she looked at Stella, she was so excited and pointed at her.
“Nathan, what time is it? Why did you bring her here? Don’t forget now that Olivia lost her son, all because of her.”
“She’s a universal donor.” Nathan replied, and in the blink of an eye, Carla looked hopeful.
“Doctor, quickly, take her for a transfusion to help her.”
The doctor instructed the nurse to take Stella to the transfusion room. Stella followed, by the time she lay down on the bed, probably because her outfit was so strange, so the nurse looked at her several times.
Stella felt that she was very heavy, but she ignored it.
“It’s going to hurt a bit, please be patient.”
Stella didn’t say anything, she closed her eyes and felt the sharp syringe dig into her skin.
Her head felt increasingly dizzy and sore, and she didn’t know if it was over or not, so she closed her eyes and went to sleep.
When she woke up, she looked around. She realized that she was no longer in the transfusion room, but only in a sickroom, her body covered with a big coat. She didn’t know how it got there, nor did she know whose coat it was, but the sky outside was still very dark.
She threw the coat aside and got out of bed, when the door opened and she saw Nathan and his assistant, Marlon, enter the room.
Nathan stared at her for a while and said nothing, but Stella knew that his coming here meant that Olivia had already passed the critical moment, so it meant that she, the blood bank, was no longer needed.
She didn’t look at am just walked past him and got ready to leave.
“Where are you going?” Nathan pulled her by the arms, and his voice was a little hoarse, yet Nathan didn’t release her. “Wear your
shoes and clothes.”

Chapter 39
Stella’s legs stepped on the cold floor as before, because of the colder snow–white legs were red.
She already felt numb.
Marlon was carrying two plastic bags, in one of which was a pair of hoes, and in the other a pair of clothes.
“Today’s weather is very cold, put it on.”
Stella looked at the two plastic bags for a long time, then reached out to put the plastic down.
“Thank you for your kindness Mr. Collins, but I can’t take it, and Miss Culpo is fine, right? So, excuse me, can I ask if I can leave now? Or should I get out of here to stand by so I can do the transfusion at any time?”
Nathan grabbed her arm tightly.
“Why are you stubborn in front of me? Don’t you know that the weather outside is very cold? Do you want to freeze to death?
