With that, I heard a sharp hiss from beside me turning to find Sash glancing up at me with her head dropped forward completely.
She was signalling for me to keep my head down as I had been standing gawking at the male like a fool!
As the Alpha approached, his presence seemed to cast a shadow over the entire courtyard, his gaze piercing and calculating as it swept over the assembled females. I couldn’t help but feel a shiver run down my spine as his cold, indifferent eyes passed over us, as if we were nothing more than pieces on a chessboard to be moved this whim.
There was an ensemble of around eight other males who had followed out from behind him, all different ages and similarly dressed in fur.
I’m guessing those are his higher ranked men…
Sasha’s warning was timely reminder of the danger we were in as avoided eye contact at all costs. I quickly lowered my head, mimicking her movements as best I could, hoping to avoid drawing any unwanted attention to myself.
“VNIZ (DOWN!)” The Alpha suddenly boomed, causing me to gasp and turn to Sasha who instantly dropped to her knees – head pressed to the stoney floor.
Not wanting to be the last, I instantly threw myself forward, turning to find Erin who had successfully made it down beside me too.
What the heck!
But despite our efforts to blend in, I couldn’t shake the feeling of unease that settled like a heavy weight in the pit of my stomach. The Alpha’s presence loomed over us like a dark cloud, casting a pall of fear and uncertainty over the entire courtyard.
As he began to address the crowd, his voice carried like thunder, echoing off the walls of the compound as he spoke in Russian and we longed to understand the foreign tongue to offer us some comfort in what was going on. I couldn’t understand the words, but the tone of his voice sent a chill down my spine, sending a clear message of authority and dominance.
I glanced over at Erin, her face pale and drawn as she kneeled beside me, her eyes wide with fear and trained on the rocks beside her. We were both out of our depth here, facing a situation beyond anything we had ever encountered before.
But as I looked around at the other females, their faces pinched with fear and resignation, I knew that we were not alone in our struggle – everyone was scared, not just us. We were all in this together, united by our shared plight and our determination to survive against all odds whether the others would admit it or not.
As the Alpha continued to speak, his words washing over us like a cold wave, I pushed my body to ignore the rattling cold it faced from being out here: with the weather being frosty enough to even show.
After a few minutes of the Alpha yelling, his fellow men laughing at one point at something he said, I watched from the corner my eye as he turned on his heels and headed back inside – seeming unbothered by us now.
However…
That didn’t stop the remaining males, as they wasted no time before grabbing a nearby female and dragging them along with them back inside–some wincing loudly at the scraping of their knees whilst others even cried at being selected.
This is hell… it has to be!
Thankfully, they didn’t venture up to the back of the crowd seeming to want the selection over and done with more quickly as they grabbed whoever was most convenient to them.

Was it over? Did we make it forough our first viewing?
A buzzer eventually sounded as the doors closed leaving us alone outside with the guards once again as I heard Sasha pushing herself up to her feet from bese me as I copied her movements.
My knees ached now from leaning on the jagged stones but I was thankful that was the only outcome from the experience.
“PERERYV! (RECESS!)” One of the guards hollered, as the females seemed to relax a little and disperse off in to their friendship groups as Sasha joined us once again.
“What did he say?” Erin asked, referring to the guard who had just ylled as she points with Sasha quickly pushing down her hand.
“No point! He said it is break time for us! Come with mol” Sasha gestures for us to follow her, as we walk around the side of the building to a little wall.
“Keeps out the wind Sasha explains, as we all stand in and find it to be slightly warmer.
I hope that we aren’t put here, for too long… we will die from the cold….
