Kane’s POV
With Dolly and Kim finally out of sight, I couldn’t shake the feeling if frustration and anger for what had happened. Their intrusion had disrupted the trial period, and I needed to address the situation with Tessa and Erin immediately,
I walked back into the house, my mind racing with thoughts of how to explain the chaotic scene they had just witnessed as I made my way upstairs to where I’m assuming I would find Tessa in her room.
As I made my way to the door, the atmosphere in the house felt tense and I couldn’t shake the fact that the past week had been the most hectic to date in a long time…
I pause, before deciding to knock first in an attempt to offer them some more privacy, before being met with straight cold silence.
I make a move to try the handle next, my temper boiling to find the door locked – which was my growing pet peeve since having Tessa around.
One of these days I’ll just need to use my wolf to break down the damn door to prove that she can’t just fucking lock me out – but today wasn’t that day. I have to be patient…
“Open this door Tessa! I can explain it all!” I demand, feeling foolish for having to call to her through the wood of the door.
“They are gone now… now unlock the door and let me in!” I demand a little harsher than intended, before being met with yet another response.
This was borderline pushing my temper…
“OPEN IT OR ILL FUCKING BREAK IN!” I command, before movement is suddenly heard from the inside – causing me to take a stép back as I wait.
A click sounds to signify that she had complied with my demand, as waste no time on letting myself in to the room. Erin is the one to have unlocked it for me it seems, as I spot Tessa sitting on the edge of the bed, a mix of confusion and concern held deep in her eyes.
Erin was pacing from foot to foot nervously, glancing between Tessa and me, awaiting my next move.
“Tessa, Erin, we need to talk,” I begin, my tone firm yet trying to control the anger bubbling within. “I understand this situation was unexpected, and I want to clarify a few things.” I state, clearing my throat.
Tessa looked up at me, her eyes searching for answers. “W–What was that all about, Kane? Who w–were those women, and why did they act like they owned the place?” Her voice holds hurt, which I can understand, however it angers me to look at the damag pair had caused for me…
I sigh, running a hand through my hair. “Those women, Dolly and Kim, have a history here. They used to hang around here as part of a larger group when we were much younger, but things changed. She shouldn’t even still have a key to the place and I asked for it back before they left! I don’t condone their behavior or their intrusion and it won’t happen again you have my word.” I state firmly, hoping that Tessa would believe me.
Tessa’s expression remained guarded, and I could sense the disappointment in her eyes. “Is this the kind of life I should expect h- here? Uninvited g–gests and romances?” Tessa’s voice grows quieter towards the end, showing where her true feelings lie.
She thinks I’m just in this to use her…
No, Tessa, it’s not. This is the first time in months that I’ve seen either of them around here, and like I said, I’ll make sure that it doesn’t happen again!” I assured her, my gaze sincere. “I need you to understand that their actions don’t represent me or how things.

are around here. From what Tve gathered, they caught wind that I bought a female back for the trial period and wanted to be nosy!” I grumble, as Erin remains quiet from beside us.
The intrusion from the two hag had only helped to cast a glum shadow over the trial period, and now, it was crucial to salvage the situation and reassure her that this wasn’t the norm around this home.

I probably misread- but since when did the humans get the impression that they were going to be the only ones?
