Tessa’s POV
The drive to the plane was excruciatingly awkward as we quickly discovered that Kane and Seth had already left to drive there and that Anthony had been left in charge of taking us both.
So they are really going the extra mile to avoid us?
We drove through the now familiar pack surroundings which we had seen a few times now, as I glanced out to find many smiling and happy pack members going about their daily routines without care in the world or a worry for their safety.
It was a good place to be, here at this pack, and to think that I might never see this place again was enough to bring water to my
eyes.
We both remained silent on the drive, as Anthony killed the awkwardness with the sound of the music playing on the car radio.
I felt slightly bad for him, since he had never been the most talkative of the three since we first met yet here he was placed in charge of babysitting us.
Instead of dreading seeing them both downstairs, the dread had now been prolonged to seeing them both on the plane in which we would be stuck with them thousands of feet up in the clouds with no escape!
Erin was nervous of flying too, having never been on a flight before. It saddened me knowing that Seth wouldn’t be there to help her like Kane had helped me my first time around when we had first came here.
It wasn’t long, before the familiar airport came in to view, as we approached some private gates and Anthony showed the guards his ID – as they didn’t pay it much of a glance and just let him through probably knowing who he was already.
Kane’s private jet came into view, as I spotted his own car parked in the distance too – almost bringing weight to the fact that they were in fact both on board waiting for us.
My heart rate quickened with the closer we got – as the size of the jet only seemed to grow larger than the last time I had saw it which made me more nervous.
Anthony pulled up, cutting the engine, before moving to turn and fade us – holding the passenger seat to fully twist around.
“I’m giving you both the heads up, they don’t want to talk to either of you today. They need time to calm down. They will stay at the back for the whole flight and you both will stay in the front with me.” Anthony informs us, as my heart shatters at the confirmation that Kane had no intent on hearing what I had to say about last night.
It’s all over…

I force a little nod, fighting back the tears, before he sighs and un–clicks his belt to exit the car – opening my side door as a hint for me to also get out.
I do as instructed, climbing out of the car – turning to glance up at the tinted windows of the jet with a chill running through me at the thought of Kane and Seth being able to see us right now since we couldn’t see them.
“Don’t they at least feel any emotions? Why wouldn’t they give us a chance to fix this?! Erin comes to my side and whispers as Anthony helps us to unload our bags from the trunk of the car.
She’s right, how can they just shun us both out so fast? I seriously thought we had all bonded and that nothing would get in our way of progressing to the final stage and yet here we are.
Some nearby staff rush over to help load our stuff onto the jet before we follow behind Anthony towards the stairs climbing them slowly.
I let Erin go in front of me, knowing that she was more nervous that I was, as her eyes seemed to widen at the size of the metal transport we were about to embark on through the sky…
Honestly, Kane and Seth are both assholes. They didn’t give them a chance to explain or look into the situation. I wouldn’t want to be with a person who doesn’t even try to b…

And what is there to forgive? It’s not their fault.
