Kane’s POV
“Are we being harsh?” I ponder, watching from the window to see both Tessa and Erin exiting the jet with Anthony – as we wait behind to give them all a head start back to the centre.
“Nah! They at least deserve the silent treatment to reflect on what they both did not harsh at all! Seth huffs out like a stubborn child as I release a rich laugh at his pettiness.
It took every last ounce within my self control not to lose the complete rag with Tessa last night when we had gotten back from the festival, and I was scared for what I could’ve done.
With the little reason I had left by the time we reached my front steps, I told her to get out of my sight for her own benefit and for mine – to at least give me time to cool off before anyone got hurt.
Afterwards, I sat in my office with Seth and discussed what had happened, with the whole ordeal landing on the worst possible moment when we were due to bring them back to the centre today… of course it was on the last day of her trial!
We were out of time now and there was only two options moving forward. It was either that I get over what happened and just treat it as a one off (trusting that Tessa won’t fuck up that badly ever again) or I take my chances elsewhere with somebody else who knows how to act right twenty four seven!
Lcouldn’t help but ignore the gnawing fact that what had happened seemed incredibly out of character for Tessa and I couldn’t piece together what she had been thinking before it either.
Why would she do that?
When she knows my temper?
Did she think it was funny?
Or is Tessa and Erin bad news when they hang out together? Perhaps they bring out the worst in one another?
I don’t think that she would want to jeopardise our relationship… or would she?

Does she even want me to keep her around or was this their grand plan to get brought back here all along – hating their time away from home?
I doubt it – considering that we had treated them both like royals for the whole time she had spent living in my home
“We can let them panic for today, make them nervous about the choosing tomorrow. Maybe then they will realise that we almost weren’t going to progress with things and won’t do anything remotely like it again?” Seth suggests, as I watch Anthony’s car drive off into the cloudy distance.
“Fine, but you’ll need to go for the meeting about taking Erin back again for a trial period now… we can do that as soon as we get there and explain the situation with Leo.” I state, knowing that there could potentially be hurdles in Seth and Erin getting granted a new trial.
But it’s a good thing that I’m the Alpha… they won’t want to piss me off so I’m guessing it should be an easy fix!
“They better just let me take her and cut the shity Seth states, as we both stand and prepare to leave the jet with the girls both out of sight completely.
“For somebody so dead set on giving them the silent treatment you sound lost without your damn human!” I laugh and shake my

head at him, knowing deep down that neither of us were actually prepared to let them out of our grasp whether they had badly fucked up or not.
I don’t think I would find another Tessa amongst the masses of desperate and incredibly false females. From what I had seen, they were all pretty much the same. I liked Tessa on that first day because she was broken, and I wanted to give her a chance to prove her worth which, until last night, she had lived up to my expectations.
With that thought, we take our leave, heading down into the waiting SUV vehicle at the bottom of the steps, moving to climb in just seconds before the spits of rain begin to pour down on top of the car roof.
It grows heavier within seconds before it begins to pound down upon the pavements, and I remember just how much I hate coming to the North East!
“Shit ass weather!” I make my annoyance for it known, as we drive through the roads on our way back to the centre where it had all first began..
