Tessa’s POV
As the jet engines roared to life and the aircraft taxied down the runway, I couldn’t shake the feeling of dread that settled like a lead weight in the pit of my stomach.
Trapped in my seat with the two new strangers Marcus and Victor seated not far behind us, I exchanged a worried glance with Erin, both of us feeling the tension in the air like a suffocating poison walling to take us out.
The Russian males wasted no time in making themselves gomfortable, the sound of beer cans cracking open filling the cabin as they both talked loudly in their native language. Their voices were gruff and rough, sending a shiver down my spine as I strained to catch any semblance of understanding from their conversation.
Erin shifted uneasily, from beside me, her eyes darting nervously to the two men behind us. I could see the fear reflected in her gaze, mirroring my own sense of apprehension and unease. The atmosphere in the cabin was thick with tension, the oppressive weight of uncertainty hanging heavy in the air.
I tried to focus on anything other than the looming presence of Marcus and Victor, but their loud laughter and boisterous conversation made it impossible to concentrate. Every word they spoke sounded like a threat, their laughter like a sinister echo that reverberated through the entire cabin.
With each passing minute, my sense of unease grew, a knot of fear tightening in my chest. I couldn’t shake the feeling that we were in danger, that Marcus and Victor were not to be trusted. But trapped in our seats with nowhere to escape to, there was little we could do but endure their presence and hope for the best when we land on the other side.
As the jet soared higher into the sky, carrying us further and further away from everything we had ever known, I couldn’t help but wonder what awaited us at our final destination. Whatever lay ahead, one thing was certain: our lives would never be the same
again.
The thought of Kane would most definitely hurt my heart forever knowing that we once had a good thing that was now shattered and destroyed – leaving only happy memories to think back on.
A sad ending to our tragic story…
Despite the fact that we had both been prepared for this moment pretty much our whole lives – it was still hard to cope with.
It definitely wasn’t uncommon for males to move on to the next female until they found the perfect one, so why did we both even begin to think that we would be different?
As far as Kane and Seth are aware, we were just silly humans who tried to screw them over at the festival (even though that wasn’t the case at all) I could see why they would want to think that.
The jets crackled on, and the sky changed from day to night as myself and Erin attempted to doze off a few times to pass the time – both too anxious to speak to one another or to fall into a full deep slumber.
As the hours stretched on, the atmosphere inside the jet grew increasingly tense. Marcus and Victor showed no signs of slowing down their drinking or their loud conversation, their voices becoming more slurred and their laughter more raucous with each
passing moment.
Erin and I exchanged worried glances, our anxiety mounting with each sip they took from their beers. The thought of being stuck in such close quarters with two unpredictable and possibly dangerous men both filled with alcohol made me dread our futures.
Unable to bear the tension any longer, I leaned closer to Erin, my voice barely above a whisper as I spoke.
“D–Do you think we should try to talk to them? Maybe if we can establish some kind of rapport, they won’t see us as threats.” Erin

nodded, her expression grave As she glanced back at Marcus and Victor.
“It’s worth a try,” she replied, her voice tinged with uncertainty.
But let’s be careful. We don’t know what either of them are capable of.” I remind, as Erin closes her eyes to perk up some courage.
With a shared sense of determination, Erin and I turned in our seats mustering up all the courage we could find as we faced Marcus and Victor both still stuck in conversation in their own tongue.
