But Becca didn’t flinch. Instead, she leaned in closer, her body pressing against mine. Her breath was warn against my neck as she whispered. “Why waste your time on someone who doesn’t even want you? Someone who doesn’t understand what it means to be by your side?”
I shoved Becca away, my patience snapping. “You don’t get to speak about her,” I said, my voice cold and sharp.
