Chapter 62
“You fucking sonofabitch!” Panora heard Benjamin yell. Both Sía at she looked around to where the yelling was coming from.
“Hey- what the fuck?” Keira screamed, and Sia and Pandora both got up and moved to where the yelling was coming from. Stopping in her tracks, she was in shock to find Benjamin holding a laughing on to the wall.
“Well, I think I know why he hates me now,” Ron commented, looking at her.
“Shut up,” Benjamin hissed.
“You’re a doctor… let him go,” Keira said, hitting Benjamin’s armt.
“It’s fine, love,” Ron reassured Keira, which strangely made Benjamin growl at him. “Pandora, sweetie, are you going tell the good doctor here, that I’m not your husband?”
“What?” They all said together.
“I think your doctor thinks I am Derrik. Would you please tell him I am not that puke ex
“You’re not,” Pandora muttered, utterly confused. Maybe it’s time I went back upstairs because…” turned and looked at her with worry.
“Are you okay?”
She nodded at him and he simply ran his hands down her hair before resting it on her shoulder.
“You thought Ron was my husband?”
She stopped speaking as Benjamin
“He’s not Derrik?” She shook her head vehemently and Benjamin rubbed his face. “Sorry,” he whispered and Ron laughed.
“It’s all right, you hit like a girl.”
Pandora leveled Ron with a scathing look and he shrugged in response. “Besides, Doc, I want to hit Derrik, too. Now I have a doctor on my side as well as a cop. Every day, I seem to be getting closer to the perfect revenge day.”
“Ron,” Pandora hissed at him.
“Dude, he’s a doctor who has drugs, which means I could kill the prick and get away with it.” She shook her head in disbelief and
started to rub it.
“Wait… you want to kill her husband?” Benjamin asked, sounding utterly confused.
“Her ex–husband,” Ron corrected and then his face went white.
“So, I’ll go get four coffees and a hot chocolate. Why don’t you take her back to her wheelchair,” Sia interrupted with a smile.
Benjamin nodded at her and wrapped his arm around Pandora. “You’re not married?” he asked her.
Not anymore; not for almost a year now.”
“But…” he asked, touching her bump. It made Jack and Micheal both move.
“Long story and not his.”

Benjamin sighed and she just noticed how tired he looked. “How is your wife?” Pandora asked him and he narrowed his eyes as he looked at her. “Maisey… how is she?”
“Maisey?” He repeated for confimation. “Why do you think Maisey my wife?”
“The photo on your desk, Pandora answered truthfully.
He shook his head and grinned at her. “Maisey is my sister.”
She looked down and let out a gasp. “Really?” she asked, looking up at him from under her lashes. He nodded at her and she bit her lip, feeling relieved that he was not married. The relief fell, fast when she still saw the wedding ring on his left hand.
“But, you are married, right?” she asked to make sure.
“Yes, sort of,” he answered and Pandora looked at him. He ran his hand through his hair. “It’s a really long story,” he repeated the same words she had used. “And, it’s a story for another time.”
He fell silent and started to rub her bump. Her hand covered his. She stopped his hands‘ movement and lifted it to her face.
“Your nails are pink?”
He laughed, shaking his head as his hand went straight back to rubbing her bump.

She snorted and let out a giggle. Benjamin smiled as he watched her. “How is Maisey?” she asked, knowing he was stressed.

“Here we are,” Ron called, still laughing. Pandora turned and looked at him with her brow raised. “Aron just called,” he informed, dropping his mischievous front. “Your leave starts now.”
Pandora groaned but Ron looked way too happy and she knew something else
“Nothing; now hush, you’re meant to be lowering your blood pressure.”

She look over at Keira who was looking at her bump, but shaking her head at her. “Sia?” she asked and frowned as Sia, too, was looking at her bump. Her hand went to it and she placed it over Benjamin’s still–present hand.
Pandora gulped, knowing that was why they were all looking at her.
“Aron’s in with beating the crap out of Derrik. Oh, and he called Daddy Walter about the car, and also told him about you turning
blue.”
Pandora groaned again, knowing her dad would go crazy.
“Daddy Walter?” Benjamin asked but didn’t remove his hand. “My dad- he used to be a Prosecutor and Ron has a thing for him. Most people just call him Mr. Leonard, though.”
“Oh,” Benjamin reacted with a smile.
“Ben–Benjamin…”

“Hey, Dad,” he replied as she turned to see the man who was looking in the door at Benjamin and her. Benjamin seemed to realize his hand was on her bump and pulled it quickly off as he stood up.
“I’ll be back in your room to check on you in half an hour if you’ll excuse me?” Benjamin didn’t wait for an answer and walked away with his dad, who kept looking back over his shoulder.

Pandora turn and look at her.
“What?” I hissed when her friend stared at her, failing to say anything else.
“That’s what I’m thinking,” Keira muttered, looking at Pandora, too.
“Are you both touched in the head? Do you not know me at all? Good Lord, I am not sleeping with my doctor. He may not be married to Maisey, but he is still married.”
