Chapter 11
Chloe stiffened.
By the time she turned around, her face was already contorted with fake tears as she threw herself at Alexander.
“She’s plotting against me!”
In the next instant, she was slapped to the ground.
Alexander’s face was grim, his eyes burning with fury.
“Chloe White, it’s you who’s been plotting against me.”
“The thing I hate most in this world is people’s damn schemes!”
“It’s not what you think…” She covered her cheek, crying and trying to explain.
But she quickly recoiled, intimidated by the disgust on his face.
I had no interest in listening any further and stood up to leave.
But Alexander quickly followed, grabbing my hand. “Where are you going?”
“Come home with me.”
I shook him off coldly. “No.”
He still pressed on, his voice firm, “You’ve said your piece. That’s enough. Come back with me!”
The next second, a tall figure stepped in between us, shielding me behind him.
Alexander froze, his gaze sharpening.
“You? The man from the photo?!”
The man extended his hand, his voice polite yet composed and unwavering.
“Hello, Mr. Morgan.”
“My name is Ethan Sullivan.”
“Mrs. Wood’s lawyer… and suitor.”
In an instant, Alexander’s eyes narrowed, his face going tense.
