Chapter 16
I turned around in surprise.
To my shock, two bodyguards were dragging a sobbing Chloe in front of me.
She fell to her knees, crying uncontrollably.
“Alexander, haven’t you been cruel enough to me?!”
“How can you humiliate me like this… wuwuwu…”
“Shut up!” Alexander cut her off with a harsh slap, forcing her to kneel beside him in front of me.
“Olivia, if you’re angry, whether it’s with her or with me, you can vent as much as you want…”
“As long as, after you’ve vented, you’re still willing to give me a chance…”
I looked at Chloe, sobbing uncontrollably, and then at the raw, fragile pain in Alexander’s eyes.
Surprisingly, my heart didn’t stir at all.
I turned to leave.
Alexander rushed after me, grabbing me desperately.
I fought hard to break free, but he wouldn’t let go until Mr. Sullivan stepped in and knocked him to the ground with a punch.
I looked at the man trembling on the floor, his hand reaching out in a pitiful plea, and said coldly:
“You’d better show up on Saturday to sign the divorce papers.”
“Otherwise, you’ll just make me despise you even more.”
Alexander’s whole body shook, his hand falling limp.
Mr. Sullivan loosened his tie and crouched down, his voice dripping with sarcasm:
“The longer you drag this out, the more excuses I get to spend time with Mrs. Wood.”
“Thanks for the matchmaking, Mr. Morgan.”
The man on the floor instantly turned pale, his eyes filled with despair.
