Orion bowed slightly, retreating with a knowing glance. “Of course, pla Kalus.“
As Kaius pulled me into his arms, emanating from him.
the music shifting to something slower, more intimate, I could feel the barely contained fury
“I don’t know; I’m not very interested in dancing anymore,” I murmured, trying to create distance between
His grip tightened, fingers digging into the bate skin of my back exposed by the low–cut dress he’d forced me to wear. “Are you intentionally trying to annoy me, princess? You might not like how that goes.”
“Kaius, people are watching. I whispered as his hand slid up my side fingers brushing brazenly over my nipple through the fabric, making my cheeks burn with humiliation.
“Let them watch,” he replied, his lips brushing my ear as he spoke.
His touch became more possessive, more invasive. Each step brought my body flush against his, the thin fabric of my dress offering little barrier, To my horror, my body began to respond despite the public setting, despite my fury and humiliation.
his arms around you; this shouldn’t bother you Kaius murmured, his hand sliding to my hip and palling
“You seemed to like hi even closer.
Not here, Kaius,” I pleaded, desperate to end this public display.
“That fixes nothing,” he responded coldly, his hand sliding along the slit in my dress, his fingers deliberately rubbing against my clit through the fabric.
His touch ignited desire in me, something we both clearly recognized And worse, everyone watching us could see exactly what was happening. The hungry gazes of some of the male wolves, the pitying looks from the females, all of it burned into me.
“Please, Kalus, I’m sorry.” The words tumbled out desperately,
“Luna,”
I nearly wept with relief at the sound of Frost’s voice. He stood beside us, his expression carefully neutral though I could read the warning in his eyes.
“You seem tired; would you like to leave?” he asked, offering an escape from this torment.
Kaius’s grip loosened just enough for me to step back. I nodded quickly, not daring to meet Kaius’s gaze.

“They saw that, didn’t they? All of them saw what he was doing? I asked as Frost guided me through a corridor I didn’t recognize.
“I told you not to anger him. Accepting the dance with Orion did just that, Frost replied, his voice low and tense.
I don’t want to go to my room; he would come for me, Frost The thought of being alone, waiting for Kaius to arrive and continue what he’d started on the dance floor, made my knees weak with dread.
“Then I’ll take you to my room,” he offered without hesitation.
“Тог
what?” | couldn’t help the suspicion in my voice.
No, but I know him well enough, so you don’t have to worry, Frost assured me. “I won’t do anything

His room was simpler than
expected–neat, minimalist, with none of the opulent furnishings that filled Kalus’s chambers. It felt
safe somehow, a neutral territory where I could breathe.
“Do you need anything? Maybe a drink?” Trost asked as I sank onto the ridge of his bed.
“I’m sorry,” I whispered, the weight of guilt settling over me. “I didn’t mean to cause trouble between you and Kaiut
“I’ll watch you sleep,” he said instead of responding to my apology.
Exhaustion overtook me quickly, the emotional toll of the evening dragging me toward unconsciousness. But sleep restless, and I was jolted back to awareness by, the sound of the door opening.
“She seems to be growing on you,” Kaluss voice, soft yet dangerous, but through the silence.
I kept my eyes closed, my breathing carefully measured. This was a conversation I wasn’t meant to hear.
“Yes, Alpha, Frost replied, his tone neutral.
