Chapter 110 Mason Hunter, Charm And Ruined Diamon
Chapter 110: Mason Hunter; Charm And Ruined Diamond.
Mason’s phone rang, but he ignored it, not wanting to be disturbed. His head was racing with excuses, sweet nothings and threats–just in case the first two didn’t work.
“Just go straight ahead. You can’t miss it,” Mason instructed his driver.
The driver nodded and followed Mason’s direction. Shortly after, they arrived at Elite Gardens.
“I’ll be right back,” he said as he stepped out of the car, taking with him the bouquet of flowers and a box of necklace.
Mason entered the building, his heart leaped with joy as he reached the lobby.
“Good morning, my dear old man,” Mason smiled at the lobby attendant, turning up his charm.
The old man dropped the newspaper he was reading and stood up. “Good morning sir. How may I help you?”
Mason tapped the counter lightly, his voice casual. “I’m here to surprise Olivia Teller. Just need her apartment number.”
His smile always worked when dealing with people. One look at his face, and they didn’t want to disappoint him.
But it took longer to work on this lobby attendant. The old man’s forehead creased with a frown. “I’m sorry, I can’t give you that information.”
Annoyance rose in Mason but he quickly buried it. Well, if his charm doesn’t work, his money definitely will.
He pulled out some cash notes, leaned in slightly and slipped them to the attendant. “Nobody has to know.”
The old man’s eyes widened, but he didn’t protest. At least not yet–which was typically a good sign.
Mason saw the hesitation in the man’s eyes and he widened his smile. “I won’t tell you if you don’t.”
The old man nodded and then his fingers took the notes; swiftly, like it was a usual move. “The room by the left. Number 3.”
Mason chuckled. “It wasn’t that hard, was it?”
With the gifts in his hand, he made his way to apartment number 3. He adjusted his suit jacket, and laid his hair with his palm, then he knocked.
He waited three seconds for a response. When he didn’t get any, he knocked again.
Since Olivia had ended business with him, she had been avoiding his calls. And although he was pissed at first, now he just wanted to convince her to work with him again.
He heard a click from the inside, then another, before the door slightly opened.
Olivia popped only her head out. “Yes?”
“It’s me, Mason,” he smirked. He watched as her expression changed, and before she started asking questions, he quickly added. “Let’s just talk, please.”
She hesitated for a moment before eventually giving up. She opened the door wider and he entered.
Her apartment was exactly how he had imagined it. Soft, elegant, feminine.
“What do you want, Mason?” she asked, standing at the door and looking at him like he was going to bite her.
Mason looked around and nodded slowly. “Nice place,” he remarked, deliberately avoiding her question. “Here, I got these for you,” he smirked, gesturing to the gifts.
Olivia’s cheeks turned pink as her eyes landed on the flowers. Mason chuckled, of course a woman like her would be moved by flowers.
She walked over, collected the flowers and went into the kitchen. Mason used the opportunity to explore her house. He walked to the living room, taking in all of her chic furniture.
When she returned, she had kept the flowers into a transparent vase, and she placed it on the table, then turned to face him, her eyes sharp.
“What do you want Mason?”
Mason perched on a couch’s arms, and crossed his legs. “I think you’re asking the wrong question. You’re supposed to ask me why I’m not mad you ended our deal.”
“I didn’t want it, obviously,” Olivia shot back. “I thought that was clear enough.”
Mason placed his hand on his chest to show how barthews “That in painful.”
Olivia shrugged. “But it’s the truth.”
Successfully unlocked!
“So, are you now working with Ivy?” he asked, curiosity rising in his voice.
“No, but soon, hopefully,” she smiled. “I don’t want to be a part of your scheme.”
He fidgeted with his wedding ring, anger rising in his chest. But, he tamed it, unwilling to give into it. “Why?” he asked

slowly. “Is it because of me or because of Ivy?”
Olivia looked away as she spoke. “It’s a mixture of both,” she admitted.
The anger stirred within and his voice turned cold. “How so?”
“Well,” she hesitated, her cheeks flushed. “Asides from the fact that you’re an asshole, Ivy told me the truth about everything.” Despite her blush, her voice was firm.
Mason chuckled, but it was humorless. He hated that Ivy was still ruining his plan. He clenched his fists and shut his eyes against the pain in his chest.
He had done everything he could, from paying reporters to stalk her at Suzie’s to asking Cheryl to publish that news about her alcoholic behavior. Yet, nothing seemed to hit as much as the pain she was causing him.
He smiled at Olivia who had confusion etched across her face. He needed her on his side, besides obvious reasons, he knew how Ivy had been hurt when she found out they were working together.
He was going to try again. He couldn’t give up now.
“Open the other gift,” he said softly, gesturing to the box.
Olivia shook her head. “No, Mason, you need to leave.”
Mason stepped closer, his voice smooth and soft.“Come on, Livia. It’s a gift. Open it.”
Her fingers trailed over the box and he could see she was intrigued. When she opened it, she gasped.
Mason moved in behind her, pressing his lips against her ear. The instant his hand touched her milky skin, heat surged through him, and he pressed his hardness against her butt.
“Isn’t it lovely?” he whispered. “As lovely as Livia.”
He picked up the necklace and placed it against her throat, making her gasp again. “There’s plenty where that came from,” he said, and lifted his hand to her breast, giving it a hard squeeze.
“Mason!” Olivia hissed or moaned, he wasn’t sure which.
He nudged his bulge against her, pressing himself harder. Olivia turned, slapped him and pushed him away.
“You bastard!” she snapped, and he saw the fury in her eyes.
He was taken aback by her reaction. “I thought you were enjoying it.”
“Get out of my house!” she yelled.
He was shocked, but he wasn’t going to give up. “But the flowers, the diamond. You-”
Olivia marched to the table and slammed the flower vase on the floor. She flung the box, and all the contents fell on the floor. “That’s your fucking gift. Take them and get out!”
The anger rose and this time, Mason didn’t control it. “You bitch! That was an 18–carat diamond!”
“Fuck your diamond, Leave!” Olivia snapped.
Mason snarled, narrowing his eyes. “You’ll regret this, Olivia.”
“Out!”
Mason adjusted his jacket and went to the door. As he stepped over shattered glass and ruined diamonds, his anger heightened.
He made his way outside, ignoring the lobby attendant. Once he was in his car, he dialed his lawyer’s number.
“Joe. Is there a way to link Olivia to Patricia Josh’s case?” he asked immediately when Joe answered.
“Link how?” Joe sounded confused.
“I don’t know,” he snapped. “I bought Patricia’s building in Olivia’s name. Is there a way to make that a problem?” “Since she legally bought the building without knowing anything, we can’t go that route.”
“Thanks for nothing, Joe!” he snapped and ended the call.
Mason let out a frustrated sigh as he racked his brain. He needed to hurt Ivy and Olivia, but nothing came to mind.
“Fuck!” he cursed as he dialed a number. “Hello,” he said when she answered.
“What?” she asked, impatiently.
Mason frowned. Even though he had convinced Frank Clark and Duke Josh to take actions on Patricia, this woman still wouldn’t respect him.
“I need help,” he said painfully.
She chuckled. “You always do. Don’t worry, I have a plan in the works.”
