Chapter 114: Time Stopped Moving.
Silas lifted his head as Ivy entered. His chest squeezed when he saw the shock on her face.
She had to be shocked, he was the one who had fought his way to her room like a savage animal.
He stood up slowly from the bed, training his voice not to sound so pathetic. “I had to see you.”
Her shock changed into anger and she dropped her bag on the table. “You have to leave, Silas.”
Her tone was harsh. Yet, his heart bled for her attention. Anger was better than being ignored all day.
“I had Detective Spence call you,” he said, knowing that was a conversation that would soften her heart.
And it did, because he noticed as her frown disappeared. “Yeah. Thanks. I already linked him up with Geo.”
His brow lifted. “Who’s Geo?”
“My adopted brother. It’s a long story,” she said with a sigh and turned to him, the anger returning to her eyes. “What do you want?”
Silas stepped forward, not close enough to touch her, but close enough if he wanted to. And he did want to touch her, but he knew she would reject him, and he couldn’t take her rejection any longer.
“I’m sorry,” he said softly. “I was a fool to bring Kim into our home.”
Ivy looked at him. Her green eyes softened and that melted something inside him. He stepped closer and when she didn’t flinch, he grabbed her by her waist and pulled her to him.
His heart fluttered with emotions as he rested his mouth on her hair. “I’m sorry. I’ll fix it, give me time.”
He felt her shiver when she discovered his arousal. Slowly, he kissed her hair, dropping his needy lips to her forehead.
Something escaped from her lips and she quickly nudged him away.
“You still have to leave,” she said, averting her eyes so he wouldn’t see the emotions in them.
“I can’t go,” he told her. “Just let me spend the night with you. The guestroom is uncomfortable, please.”
She lifted her head sharply. “The guestroom? I… thought you slept…” she trailed off, her cheeks turning red.
Of course, she had thought he slept in his room with Kim.
“No,” he said firmly. “I didn’t sleep with Kim.”
“I didn’t say you slept with Kim,” she snapped, her guard up again. “I don’t care whatever you do with whoever. I’m just your contr-”
“Contract wife, yeah yeah.” He finished for her. “How can I forget when you remind me all the time?”
She bit her lip, annoyance shining in her eyes. God! He loved this stubborn woman, but how the hell was he supposed to prove it to her?
She moved, and he could tell she was about to send him away. Quickly he asked. “How is the company now? Tim told me he was done. Was your equipment delivered today?”
He watched as the annoyance in her eyes dissolved and was replaced with excitement.
“It’s so beautiful,” she cheered. “It was cleaned and the equipment was delivered and arranged. Everywhere looked nice.”
He chuckled at her excited tone. “I’m so glad you like it.”
“Thank you.” She smiled softly.
“You’re welcome,” he replied. “I can’t wait to come see it tomorrow.” He reached for her again but she nudged him away. “I will be busy tomorrow, I have interviews to conduct,” she said.
“I can help you with that. We can do it together. If you want,” he quickly added, not wanting to impose.
Her brow furrowed and then she shrugged. “Alright then.”
He smiled. “Thank you.”
“But you still have to leave,” she said motioning to the door. “I have a long day tomorrow, I need to rest.”
His heart sank at her request and he paused, not knowing how to react. He needed her, physically, sexually. He craved her touch, and just wanted to lay next to her and m

He extended his hand but dropped it. He wanted to tell her about Thomas, and the whole court case, but he didn’t want to stop her excitement.
“Did… you get my text about the opening party?” he asked instead, knowing talking about her company made her happy.

“Yes, I did,” she said, moving closer to the table. “And I like the idea. It’s just that I don’t have any work to display”
“That should be easy to do. You have your equipment, I’m sure you can find a theme, and get something done I can help! he quickly added again.
Her eyes brightened with joy “I thought about that too, the theme part. I wanted to invite Sonia because I promised her some shots, and then I decided to celebrate women. You know, Sonia, Ther. Theresa, others”
Silas nodded, his heart pounding with excitement with the way she spoke, the way her voice rose with determination. She looked like a child who got handed candies and he loved it.
“That’s not bad at all. It’s about empowering women,” he said with a nod. “I like it.”
She smiled. “Thanks.”
“We’ll start preparation as soon as possible, tomorrow hopefully?” He asked, hoping she wouldn’t reject his offer to help
“Yes, sure.” She nodded and the excitement faded in her eyes. “You have to leave.”
His heart sank but he held his smile. “Sure,” he said, sadness tugging in his chest as he turned towards the door
He didn’t want to leave, he needed her to console him. “Ivy,” he turned, but she had already entered the bathroom fully dressed.
Silas walked over, and his heart skipped a beat when he heard the tap running. He pushed the door open, completely fueled by passion. He needed to see her, he wanted to see her.
Silas entered the bathroom and saw Ivy’s figure through the blurry glass of the shower. She wasn’t using the tub, and he could see her standing and scrubbing her body.
He slid the glass open and she gasped.
“Silas!”
She covered her breasts and thighs with her fingers, but her little hands almost did nothing. He could see a hardened nipple in between them.
He didn’t say anything, he just watched. Ivy swallowed, her eyes shining with both annoyance and lust.
“You need to leave.”
He stepped forward, covering the small space between them, his body wet from the running tap. “Why?” “Because… because I’m dirty!” she yelled but he knew she wasn’t angry. She was scared and that delighted him.
Silas dropped his eyes to her breasts and she hit him lightly. He chuckled. “Okay, fine.”
He removed his wet shoes and stepped out of the shower. “I’ll be waiting,” he said and walked away.
Once he was in the room, he removed his wet clothes and placed them next to bathroom’s door. With his arousal dangling. he went to her closet, picked a towel and wrapped it around his waist. Then he took her body lotion.
He sat on the bed and waited for her. Ivy took her sweet time, but finally, she walked out of the bathroom.
“Finally,” he teased, chuckling as her cheeks turned red.
“You need to leave, please,” she pleaded, holdinng her towel tighter.
Silas stood up, ignoring her. “Come, let’s get you dry.”
Ivy wanted to protest, he could tell, but it died on her lips when he pulled her gently to the bed.
He got to his knees, took her body lotion, sprayed some on his hand and began to cream her legs. She bit her lip as their eyes met.
He chuckled, watching as her cheeks turned pink. He moved his hand to his thigh, and she gasped, but he didn’t go further.
Not yet.
He added more lotion and moved to the other leg, moisturizing and massaging it. He moved to her other thigh, and time he spread her legs.
“Silas…” she purred as her towel dropped, revealing her hard nipples.
Silas parted her legs and buried his face in between them. She grabbed his hair, her moans filling the room. He stroked her
center with his tongue and she melted. He moved his tongue faster, quicker, until he tasted her slickness.
Unable to control himself, Silas got to his feet and buried himself inside her.
“I love you, Ivy!” He gasped, and time stopped moving.
