Chapter 127: Two Hotheads.
“What is wrong with you?” Ivy groaned as she threw a birth control pill in her mouth, and downed it with water.
She washed her face, hoping it would ease away some of her emotions. Not that she regretted giving Silas her body again, she just wished she had punished him longer.
She had wanted him to beg, she had wanted to chip off his masculinity. Well, joke’s on her, because he didn’t care.
Silas had obeyed, he had surrendered without a fight and that melted all of her defeces. She couldn’t bear to see in him physical discomfort so she had let him enter her.
She stared at her reflection, wondering how long this push and pull from her was going to go on for.
“It’s almost over,” she whispered, consoling or assuring herself–she wasn’t sure.
Ivy dipped into the warm bath she made for herself and cleaned up. By the time she stepped out of the shower, Silas was already awake.
“Morning beautiful,” he said, his lips curved into a smile, his voice sexy.
“Good morning,” she replied, her cheeks burning up with heat.
Silas got out of bed and stretched, his manhood hard as rock making her turn away. “Sorry,” he chuckled.
Heat coursed through her as she made her way to the closet and dressed in a lilac shirt and grey pants. When she returned to the room, Silas already had his trousers on.
“Ivy,” he said softly, causing her to look into his eyes. “Come,” he gestured to the bed and she obeyed. When she sat, he kissed her shoulders. “I’m sorry.”
She closed her eyes, her body reacting to the touch of Silas’s lips as it traveled to her neck.
“It was a stupid mistake, and I promise it won’t happen again.”
He was sincere, she could feel it, yet she didn’t want to believe him. She turned, moving slightly away from his side.
“What else are you hiding?”
His brow rose in surprise and then he sighed. “Nothing. Just Thomas’s case.”
“About that…”
“Yes,” he said, then he told her everything.
Ivy was shocked at his words when he was done. “Do you think Mason is really responsible?”
“Absolutely,” Silas replied firmly. “We just couldn’t prove it. Besides, it wasn’t a direct fight.”
“But it’s still a fight regardless,” she said, clenching her fist. “I need to do something about him.”
“Pressing charges, yeah?” Silas asked. “I am on it, though Wade hasn’t said anything yet. I just want to know if we can do that without an actual confession.”
She sighed, her brow furrowed with resignation. As much as it hurt, she admitted. “I don’t think we can.”
Silas scooted closer, taking her hand in his. “Don’t worry we’ll find something. In the meantime, let’s discuss my dumb mistake.” He straightened up, his rough hair swaying as he did. “I have set up meetings with the event planners by 10. I’m just trying to redeem myself.” Then he brought her hand to his lips.
If there was any consolation, it was the fact that Silas was always quick to make up for his mistakes, and that was the only reason she was going to accept this one.
Besides, she wanted the opening out of the way, so she could focus on the business already.
“You are forgiven,” she said and watched as his eyes gleamed with joy.
“Oh baby,” he said, pulling her to himself.
“Don’t wrinkle my clothes, Silas,” she replied, but with a loud laugh and she let him kiss her a billion times.
When he was done, he helped her to her feet, and adjusted her clothes. “So what’s the plan for today?”
“I called everyone yesterday, except Theresa, who I texted. Once they arrive, we’ll start the shoot. Tomorrow, we will start with the places.”
Silas nodded, taking in everything. “I love that
“Oh but I haven’t,” she said with a playful scowl

“Well then,” Silas teased, mischief shining in his eyes. “Punish me again, Milady.”
Ivy laughed, but when their eyes met, something shifted, melting away the playful atmosphere and turning her laughter into
a breathless silence.

She looked away, fidgeting with her sleeve as warmth crept up her cheeks. He knew she had been avoiding those three- letter words She cleared her throat and walked quickly towards the table where his gifts were, eager for a distraction.
“Thank you for the gifts, she said firmly, fighting to get control of her emotions.
Silas’s eyes darkened with a knowing glance, but he let it pass. “You’re welcome?

Giles nodded. “Alright then, Breakfast with me?
“No” Her reply was quick. She swallowed and repeated, “No, I’ll grab something on the way” Of course, she couldn’t share a table with him–not after what had just happened.
“Alright, have a lovely day, Silas said.
She grabbed her bag from the closet and nodded. “You too, then she left the room.
Outside, Bud was waiting. She greeted him and the journey to her office began. As soon as they turned the street leading to her office, Ivy’s stomach churned with fear, and her heart tightened as thoughts of Mason vandalizing her company flooded her mind
She clenched her fists, taking in the pain of her imagination until it disappeared. She exhaled, releasing her tight nerves. She couldn’t let Mason get away with this, she couldn’t let this slide.
Just as Bud parked in the driveway, a thought crossed her mind
“Breakfast from Sylvia’s, ma’am? Bud asked as she stepped out of the car.
“Yes. Thank you, she said, shutting the door and walking inside.
The young guard at the door opened it for her. “Good morning, Ms Stone.” “Good morning,” she smiled at him.
“Good morning malam, the receptionist greeted as Ivy climbed the stairs.
“Good morning,” Ivy greeted and went to her office.
Inside, she realized the place had been cleaned and was pleased by it. She dropped her bag on her table and brought her phone.
She set a recorder so she could capture her conversations before dialing Mason. He picked almost immediately. “Hello.” His voice was sharp. “What do you want?”
“Just a simple answer, Mason, Ivy said, fighting to keep her voice steady. “Why did you vandalize my building? What did I ever do to you?”
Mason paused before he spoke. “Why are you calling?”
She bit her lip, trying not to show her anxiety. “Just answer me Mason.”
He scoffed. “Piss off.” Then the call dropped.
Ivy groaned, slamming her phone on the table. He hadn’t fallen for it! To think Mason was smart today! Damn!
There was a knock on her door, forcing her to adjust herself. “Come in,” she said softly.
Jade walked in, her cheeks red as usual. “Good morning ma’am. I want to inform you that Ms Sonia Raj is around.”
“Oh,” Ivy’s face lit up. Sonia was early. “I’ll be there in a minute.”
“Alright ma’am,” Jade said and left.
Ivy adjusted her shirt, breathing slowly before making her way downstairs. Sonia was dressed in a stunning blue gown with her assistant standing beside her.
“Sonia!” Ivy cheered as she gave her a hug.
“Ivy dear. How are you?” Sonia said with a bright smile as she embraced Ivy.
“I’m good. Welcome to Ivysion photography,” Ivy said, excitement filling her tone. It sure felt nice to say that out loud. “We’ll
But she was interrupted when the door opened and Aria walked in. “Aria!” Ivy cheered.
“Hey marna!” Aria said, giving Ivy a tight hug. “This place smells nice. I love the energy already.”
Before Ivy could speak, the door opened again and Catherine Shaw walked in. Ivy immediately recognized her by her ginger
hair.
Catherine’s eyes lit up as she smiled at Ivy, but the moment she saw Sonia, her smile faded. “What’s she doing here?”
Chapter 127 Two Hotheads
Sonia rolled her eyes, her voice sharp. “I should be asking you that.”
Ivy watched the exchange, surprise coursing through her. Was she missing something?
As if Aria heard Ivy’s thought, she leaned closer. “What were you thinking putting two hotheads together?
