Chapter 83: Who Is Olivia?
“Hey” Silas said softly as Ivy stirred in his arms.
Ivy’s eyes widened, and heat spread on her checks as she looked into Silas’s hazel eyes. A sleepy smile tugged at his lips as he stretched.
Ivy sat upright, her blush deepening as she moved away from him. He had slept in her bed. She had slept in his arms. The thought sent a dangerous thrill through her.
Clearing her throat, she stood up completely from the bed. She bit her lips, looking away as he stood up from the bed as
well
“How’re you feeling this morning?” Silas asked, his voice husky and sexy
“Good, good,” she replied quickly, stepping farther away.
Tim glad.” He smiled, his gaze lingering on her.
His kindness was starting to spring off emotions she couldn’t afford to acknowledge–ones that could make her too comfortable, too vulnerable. Before things would escalate into something she couldn’t resist, or worse, something she could initiate, Ivy moved toward the window.
“Thank you for yesterday,” she said with a smile.
Silas nodded, a warm smile on his lips. “You’re welcome,” he smiled, and proceeded towards the door. “See you later.”
Once he left, Ivy bolted the door behind him and sank into her bed. She groaned as she buried her face in her palms.
Where was she supposed to start from?
Was it the fact that Silas had slept beside her? Held her? Kissed her?
The memory of her hands grazing his chest as he played with her hair sent heat down her legs.
Ivy shot up from the bed, her face burning. She shook her head as if to send away the thoughts threatening to consume her.
But as those thoughts faded, the pain of Mason’s actions hit her like bricks. Ivy fell to her knee at the excruciating pain in her chest. Mason had finally gotten to her, he had stolen the momentarily joy of owning her dream space.
She hadn’t even started designing, she hadn’t even begun to hire staff or gather equipment.
The pain settled deep, relentless as it traveled through her, and she let herself feel it. She broke out in a sweat as she fought to steady her breath. She exhaled, giving herself time to control her pain.
Mason wasn’t going to win. He couldn’t steal her dreams and walk away unscathed. She had to retaliate. She just didn’t
know where to start.
Ivy made her way to the bathroom, hoping the water would heal the remaining of her pain. When she was done with her hygiene, she dressed up in an orange jumpsuit, and was combing her hair when there was a knock on the door.
She opened it to find Monica standing there.
“Hey, Ivy” Monica said, reaching out to hug her. “T’m so sorry.”
Ivy rested in Monica’s arms, finding unexpected comfort. “Thank you, Monica,” she said, finally lifting her head.
“How are you?” Monica asked kindly. “I went to bed early, so I didn’t know when you got back.”
“It’s fine” Ivy said, moving to the bed. “And I’m fine, thank you.”
“That’s good,” Monica said, just as another knock echoed through the room.
“Yes?” Ivy called out.
The door opened revealing a maid in uniform.
“Mr Stone asked me to bring this, the maid said, dragging in a box.
Ivy was surprised but she motioned to the foot of the bed. “Put it there.”
The maid obeyed and left
“I’ll be downstairs if you need me,” Monica said before stepping out.
When Monica left, curiosity got the most of her, and cha nnened the how in there were all the gifts Silas had bought for her, when he tried to surprise her, before the Kim m Successfully unlocked!
She brought out the items one after the other. DiS. JESU AL Dags. There was a smaller box containing a full- diamond necklace set in white gold
A blush crept onto her cheeks as she arranged the gifts in her closet. There was no point rejecting them. her feel better

When she was done, she went downstairs for breakfast, and saw Silas going outside.
“Hey, how are you?” he asked as she descended the stairs.
“Tm good,” she replied. “Thanks for the gift”
“You didn’t pack them in Fiji, so I figured. He trailed off, slipping his hands into his pockets.
“Yes,” Ivy smiled, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear
“I’m going to see Thomas, to talk about. Silas trailed off again.
Before she could stop herself, she blurted out. “I want to come with you.”
Sas blinked. “Uhm, are you sure?”
“Yes.” She stepped closer. “It was my building. I want to know how Mason did it.”
Silas nodded, giving in “Alright then. Let’s go.”
Forgetting breakfast, she rushed upstairs to grab her phone and bag before following Silas to the car. A mixture of anger, curiosity, and worry swirled inside her.
When they both entered the car, Ivy blushed as she remembered how she had touched Silas without thinking
Yesterday, she had allowed her sadness to nudge her into touching him. Today she was better, and she kept a healthy
distance between them
The ride to Thomas’s office was quick and quiet. When they arrived, Silas helped her out of the car, and they went straight inside
Thomas was at his desk, working on his computer, when they entered. His brow lifted in unconcealed surprise when he saw Ivy.
“Hey, Ivy” he greeted, standing up. “How… how are you?”
“Im good,” Ivy smiled as she approached
“Please, have your seat.” Thomas motioned to one of the chairs opposite him.
She and Silas sat beside each other.
“Sorry your honeymoon got cut short, Thomas said as he sat down. “Rosie and I are attending a gala in two nights. I was thinking of inviting you two–kind of like your first public appearance together, and to also take off the media’s heat.”
Ivy saw what he was doing. She glanced at Silas who looked like he was waiting for her response first.
“We’ll love to go, thank you,” Ivy said.
Thomas smiled, as if relieved.
Silas leaned forward. “Ivy wanted to know about…”
“Oh, yes. Right” Thomas said. His face turned red as he fiddled with a black pen on his desk.
Ivy knew he was uncomfortable, so she took the lead. “Silas said Mason got the place. How?”
“I don’t know,” Thomas admitted. The owner just said she wasn’t selling. And now, I just found out Mason is collaborating with one Olivia Teller to develop—”
Ivy gasped. “Olivia Teller?”
Thomas nodded. “Yes, why?”
“That bastard,” Ivy seethed. Of course, taking her business wasn’t enough for Mason. He had to collaborate with her old friend
“Who’s Olivia?” Silas asked, intrigued.
Ivy swallowed. “Olivia and I were friends and colleagues. We were supposed to open a business together, but it didn’t work
out.”
She had given Mason the money for his business instead, and she couldn’t tell Olivia–because Mason hadn’t wanted her to.
She flushed as she remembered how dumb and gullible she had been. But, of course, she couldn’t share that with the Stone brothers
“Olivia wanted the business badly, but I couldn’t help Ivy admitted. “So we stopped talking. A few months late Teller Photography, and when I tried to reconnect it didn’t end well.”
Thomas exhaled. “Mason is out to get you.”
“That’s so weird. Silas added. “Now he’s working with her.”
Before Ivy could continue, her phone buzzed. She frowned at the screen. It was Geoffrey
“Hey, Geo she answered.
Started
“Ivy Geoffrey said quickly, his voice flat. “It’s your dad. I just rushed him to the hospital. Cole isn’t around–I need your help”
Her heart stopped
